Palin: 'Barack Obama, You Lied!'
'Now step away from the teleprompter and do your job'

NATIONAL HARBOR, MD - Former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin offered a feisty, scathing review of President Barack Obama's leadership in a made-for-TV-quote-filled-speech that appeared to dazzle the audience at a conference of conservatives.
Palin accused Obama of a lack of transparency, being in constant campaign mode, trying to take away Americans' guns, not producing a budget, and a failure to lead, as she sipped a Big Gulp soda (in a nod to NYC Mayor Bloomberg's failed ban on large soft drinks) at the Conservative Political Action Conference.
"Obama promised the most transparent administration ever. Barack Obama you lied!"
She said Obama can't stop campaigning:
"Mr. president, we admit it, you won. Accept it. Now step away from the teleprompter and do your job."
She offered a harsh assessment of the Senate's failure to pass a budget in four years:
"It's not just bungling. It's the government refusing to declare what it intends to do with the people's money. Never before have our challenges been so big and our leaders so small."
She took on the media for writing stories about conservatives trying to rebrand themselves:
'We are not here to rebrand a party, we are here to rebuild a country"
She gave some advice to young conservatives:
"You gotta be thinking Sam Adams, not drinking Sam Adams."
Palin, once a rising conservative star following her nomination as the Republican vice presidential candidate in 2008, has had an uncertain role lately. She lost her most recent platform as a Fox News contributor earlier this year when her contract was not renewed.
