On the other hand, a con man would be one of the few that could find enough loopholes to enable you to sign you up for Obamacare, and they can't hurt you any worse than the government will.

@Ryuo yeah I get your point... but these navigators as a whole, are being cultivated from groups like the former ACORN and organizing for Obama so that tells me right they're most likely dishonest scum bags.

what really gets me is when they wrote the 3000 pages of this assault on freedom an American liberty , they included minute details of how they could alter, restrict, and even deny basic life changing medical procedures being sought by individuals.... but they just didn't think about running background checks on navigators?!

.... seems to me they want background checks on people for everything under the Sun.... except Obamacare navigators ...

That's just great! Our government employing convicted felons to whom we are supposed to give more information to than to anyone else we have ever encountered. That figures with this fiasco!

Background checks should be mandatory for these positions. You're going to be dealing with some very personal information, potentially PHI, as a navigator. You need to vet these people.

Just knowing that the guy who is going to be doing my open heart surgery is a former Yugo mechanic makes me feel tingly all over.

This whole thing stinks. There is not enough air freshener in the world to hide the smell. Flush it and start again. Who else could get away with hiring a bunch of crooks to sell a terrible product to unsuspecting customers? And, then using national media while LYING about it?

Obamacare is supposed to help everyone except seniors. It does this in many ways. When it comes to convicted felons it gives them solid leads. Only a rotten Republican Grinch could oppose that. Just ask Obama.

I blame John Roberts for this Obama Health Care Fiasco..He is the one that considered the fees in the bill as taxes...That made it all constitutional...Has anyone heard them called taxes yet..??

well,,,, ethical and moral reprobates wrote the law...

Seems appropriate that registered felons should serve as navigators...
that's probably in the legislation some where.
It's not like the review committee, Nancy Pelosi, or the Obamasiah actually read the damn thing... to begin with.

Why should convicted felons be an issue, now?

The only saving grace for ObamaCare is that isn't doesn't work.
That's only at the signing up website stage.
It's not going to get any better - at the premium paying level.
    Don't even ask about deductibles.
And, if you don't like your eligible witch-doctor, I hear that Conrad Murray is trying to get his license re-instated.
hell, He was good enough for Michael Jackson.

As far as your personal information is concerned, you might as well paint it all down on the side of your house.
    The NSA has it.
    The IRS has it.
    The CIA has it.
    The FBI has it.
    The DHS has it.
If they have it, then N. Korea, and Iran have it, along with Russia and Eric Snowden.

What's a couple more felons one way or the other.

Just being a felon doesn't mean that these people are a threat to ones personal privacy. Most places that employ people perform some sort of background check on applicants even if it is not a legal requirement

...and why do they choose felons for these jobs? Unemployment is at 7.3%. Can't they find honest people for these positions?
Oh, what AM I thinking? Honest people would have nothing to do with this scam.
