AShould the US Intervene if Israel and Iran Come to Blows?

#1

Bobolinsky

Unequivocally, Yes.
.
Excepting the Obama and Carter Administrations, Israel has worked in alliance with the United States and continuously deferred to US policy against their own best interests. You don't turn your back on a friend like that.
.
Especially when Israel's very existence is on the line.

Israel's very existence? Don't be so dramatic.

Israel has far more resources with the express purpose of destruction at its disposal than its tinpot neighbors possess.

You're not paying attention to what the Iranian theocracy is saying when we're not supposed to be listening.

Dangnabit I hit post too soon. You're also forgetting about Russia, which is currently arming Iran's satellite. Russia has aligned with Iran whether you like it or not.

Make no mistake. When this starts, it's gonna be WWIII. My hope is that, unlike the first two, the US doesn't dilly dally when it comes to helping our friends.

If you can't see the difference between being defenseless and rounded up into concentration camps and possessing state of the art weaponry, nukes, and your own country - within which a whole 'nether group is now being checkpointed and tallied - I don't know what to tell you.

As for World War 3, you're being hyperbolic again...

Oooooh. Hyperbolic. Big word. Did you get that from lit class or philosophy of logic? Try a few history classes. You'll discover that wars are like earthquakes. The longer the span of time between them, the worse they are when they happen. And we're overdue for another big one.

Russia is thumbing it's nose in our face. "Reset" has come to mean a "reset" to Cold War dispositions. Ever more frequent summits between Russia, China, and Iran. The stars are aligning dude. Denying it doesn't make it so.

That is just too rich...LOL, you actually cited the NYT Opinion Page as proof that war is on the decline?
    .
    And you're criticizing my argument?
    .
Take off the blinders dude. You obviously have no concept of the World outside of your Liberal cocoon. Common affliction caused by a closed mind.

That's all you need to dismiss it, that it's on the NYT op-ed page? You really are a caricature of the conservative with a grudge against those pointy headed intellectual types aren't you?

Anyway, I'm no liberal, and what I know about the long tradition of the conservative disinclination to go to war to save some benighted group/the world (an inherently progressive venture) would hopefully shock you out of your superficial lib/con/rep/dem partisanship.

You haven't checked out anything else I've said on here. Have you? Just looking for a fight. You got it.
    .
I take it back. You're not a Liberal. You're ignorant.
    .
I should have known. An actual Liberal would have known not to cite the NYT Editorial Page as proof for anything. Forget the fact that it's the EDITORIAL PAGE, even Liberals know that the NYT Editorial Page is openly Liberal. It's the rest of the paper where they deny the obvious.

Maybe you were right. Maybe we won't have another global war. After all. you've averaged about nine minutes to respond to my posts. You're overdue for a response, but you probably won't.

All right. I'm gonna call it. Amtrak Sam? I consider you officially PWNED!

Israel is a cruel, racist country that deserves no sympathy or special friendship. It's hard to think of another country that is so intellectually backward as to equate religious identity with national identity in the 21st century.
