George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer who was found not guilty of shooting and killing unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin, is stepping away from the easel and into the boxing ring. He will fight rapper DMX in a "celebrity" boxing match.
"I am going to beat the living f--- out him," the 43-year-old rapper told TMZ before the fight was confirmed. "I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I f---- him right up."
The time and location of the fight, which will be three rounds, was originally planned to be announced at a news conference Wednesday until people on social media pointed out it was Trayvon Martin's birthday. Now it's scheduled for next week.
Celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman offered Zimmerman money to fight before the opponent was selected. A portion of the proceeds from the boxing match will go to an unspecified animal rescue charity, Fox News reports.
