    You are much too kind.
    I wouldn't even consider his "handling" even close to being in the number "one" category.
    I stinks to all high hell of number " two".
  • #52
    I'm not sure piss poor is bad enough to reflect Obama's handling of this crisis. More like what crisis which seems to be Obama's typical response to most things. He's either out to lunch or playing golf. Or maybe planning Michele's next vacation to rip off even more taxpayer dollars.

    In reality every option is total BS .

    Either the border is TRULY closed or it is not and this financial nightmare continues .

    Be honest , Do you know of any Republican who might run in 2016 who will actually close the border ?

    Please don't tell me Jeb Bush .

    @stepped_in_it Somehow I think the White House was involved also. Why? I just don't know exactly. Overwhelm the system maybe.
  • #53
    @stepped_in_it And, since there's a good belief that Mexico (plus their countries of origin), this "money" needs to be extracted from any AID we send them each year.
    Foreign aid in 2001:
    Mexico = 958 million
    Guatemala = 392 million
    El Salvador = 281 million
    Honduras = 624 million
    Nicaragua = 695 million
    Total = 2.95 BILLION
    There's our "allotted budget" for this mess........
  • #55
    @wysiwygwi "Overwhelm the system maybe."
    Nope....more like push the issue of immigration.
    Obama would have had a "two-fer" if most of the kids were gay.
    Two "agenda issues" in one effort.

    There here illegally so why should we give them anything. They even moved them deeper into the country for what purpose.. your here illegally & should be sent back across the border regardless.. im so sick of the B/S
  • #186
    The really bad thing is they turn many of them loose and tell them to return for a court hearing in a couple of weeks. Where do they then go? Who the hell knows...the go where ever they wish.
  • #157
    Under legislation passed by a previous Congress and signed into law in December, 2008 by President Bush, minors who have entered the U.S. illegally can only be deported after a court decision.
    This slows down things significantly. I expect Congress will explore modifying this law.
  • #188
    As one congressman said, a first class plane ticket back home for each one would cost about $4 or 5 million. Barack Husssein Obama wants how much? Yeah...$3.7 billion...that's with a "B."
  • #21
    Yeah! We all know he has a magic wand and if he wanted to, he could just solve the whole thing for free. He's just asking for resources because he's mean. SMH.
  • #64
    I think everyone who voted for Obama should make a place in their homes for these children. You elected him, he did every but send buses to pick them up to encourage this, now you need to fix it.
  • #72
    @MarkJM Most voted for him because he is black and blindly support his every move for the same reason. That seems a little bit racist to me would you agree?
  • #87
    I think everyone who voted for Obama should make a place in their homes for these children. You elected him, he did every but send buses to pick them up to encourage this, now you need to fix it. "

    "They will deport themselves " Romney was going to close the borders?

    Please cut the BS
  • #92
    @JoseinThrdWrld And who gives a shit what Romney was going to do or said? That was two years ago and I didn't vote for the bastard anyway.

    The guy who he lost to has not only not fixed the problem, he has exacerbated it with his invitation to minor children to come on in. If you voted for him you are part of the problem and should fix it. In the interim these are still children who need shelter. Why wouldn't you take them in?

    How about that much money to secure the border and not let anyone else cross? Build a fence with that? Send the guard in or military? Smh
  • #84
    You were in the Marines, I was in the Army .

    We both agree that being on the border would be easy duty for the military and the local areas would financially benefit however I don't see any President doing this because Mexico has said that they would see it as an act of aggression .

    Mexico is no friend of USA nor anyone's friend and I would like to see USA do to Mexico what Israel is now doing to Gaza.
  • #26
    How about spend that $3.7 billion on building a fence across the border and deport all the ILLEGALS back to their home countries. I wouldn't be a crisis if he would let it be.
  • #140
    ALL of the illegals?

    You got your bags packed? I'm sure the Native Americans will be happy to hear they are getting their country back.
  • #154
    @boombatic nope and we would like to see the white and blacks leave for I am a Arapaho Indian. So I'm pretty fine where I'm at. Other countries would have you placed in prision. Here in America we give illagles a free place to stay and a monthly check. Imagrents are fine but do it theLEGAL way.

    How i would rate Obama anything, poor.

    Neglected to do anything about providing guns to Mexico drug cartels, which resulted in the death of U.S. Border Patrol agents, causing worldwide doubt as to U.S. rule of law.

    Failed to make government more transparent by restricting FOIA requests, according to the Washington Post, making review of government actions difficult.

    Perpetuated the fraud of "green jobs" to sell and justify stimulus funds with little evidence to support the market for these jobs.

    Failed to confront drug company payoffs/rebates to doctors, thus raising the cost of health care.

    Advocated for the "Buffett Rule," which would discourage U.S. investment and barely dent the deficit.

    Attacked the Supreme Court twice directly, undercutting confidence in the separation of powers.

    Opposed "repatriation" of U.S. corporate profits made overseas (and already taxed), thus encouraging U.S. companies to invest those profits in foreign enterprises.

    Required every individual to buy health insurance as part of his healthcare reform, which the Congressional Budget Office says will cost twice as much as the White House originally advertised.

    Blocked Boeing's new South Carolina factory from opening to assuage his union supporters.

    Blocked the construction of the Keystone Pipeline that would have given jobs to thousands of American workers, further reducing the domestic oil supply and forcing our ally Canada to turn to China as a more willing partner.

    Cut authorization of permits restricting drilling in Gulf and slowed permitting of new oil drilling so our future oil supply will be restricted and gas prices will be higher.

    Funded Solyndra and other unworthy companies, wasting taxpayer money but also discouraging other privately funded companies from entering the market.

    Only moved on Bush free trade agreements and failed to enter one new free trade agreement, even while our competitors have entered many, making U.S. goods more expensive to export.
  • #31
    Obama caused the problem, now he wants taxpayers to bail him out. He wouldn't secure the border or speed up deportations so now he has his own crisis to solve. While he is deporting the illegal kids, perhaps he could deport himself. Wake up America, this guy is inept and incompetent!
  • #8
    Wasn't he in Texas fund raising for this the other day? Never went to the border. Maybe he went to Costco instead.

    And we can't spend the billion dollars it would take to harden our electrical power grid from an EMP or Coronal Mass Ejection (solar). Look up SHIELD (Secure High Voltage Infrastructure for Electricity from Lethal Damage. Or like the attack that occurred on the San Jose Metcalf transmission station? That would make us a 4th world country in no time.
  • #89
    I'll pay for my portion of the 3.7 billion gladly IF it went into ENFORCEMENT of the laws and border security. Other wise HELL NO!
  • #4
    Really, this is even a question when the pres has encouraged this activity? For all of those American poor who vote democrat to help them, once again they put the joke on you. If you keep voting the same way expecting things to change and they don't...never mind it's so pathetic as to be funny at this point.
  • #38
    Just remember that those poor Americans are NOT the ones who will be paying for this, so they will continue voting for the Idiot, not realizing that they will suffer even more from this influx and even fewer jobs.

    Another conundrum -- Spend money we haven't got, as if that would solve anything. When their is no leadership money won't help--

    BTW, here are six Conundrums of socialism in the United States of America:

    1. America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population is subsidized.

    2. Half of the population is subsidized - yet they think they are victims.

    3. They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the government.

    4. Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting poorer.

    5. The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.

    6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about - yet they want America to be more like those other countries.

    Think about it! And that, my friends, pretty much sums up the USA in the 21st Century.

    Makes you wonder who is doing the math.

    These three, short sentences tell you a lot about the direction of our current government and cultural

    1. We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics. Funny how that works.

    And here's another one worth considering...

    2. Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money. How come we never hear about welfare or food stamps running out of money? What's interesting is
    the first group "worked for" their money, but the second didn't.

    Think about it.....and Last but not least,

    3. Why are we cutting benefits for our veterans, no pay raises for our military and cutting our army to a level lower than before WWII, but we are not stopping the payments or benefits to illegal aliens.

    Am I the only one missing something?

    These are difficult times where the world has gone crazy.

    We have plenty of money. Don't let anyone fool you. We just don't have money for AMERICANS.

    We have billions for Israel. Billions for Iraq. Billions for Afghanistan and Pakistan and every other "stan". We give money to all but 15 countries in the entire world. We f*cking support the world. YOU, ME and every other tax paying person in America.

    We have plenty of money when it comes to giving it away to others, yet we have nothing for US. We bitch because an AMERICAN kid gets a free lunch. We say nothing when OUR children are in decades of debt for college, yet we give Israel untold millions and their kids get subsidized educations. We bitch because we don't want Americans having free healthcare; yet our tax dollars help Israel have free healthcare.

    Wake up! Stop complaining about what AMERICANS get. What we give to our own is a drop in the bucket compared to what we give around the world. If you put all those welfare people to work, that would be more tax dollars we would give away. Why don't our tax dollars work for US? We're the ones paying into this system but we don't get sh*t. Our children do without. Our elderly people do without. The rest of us work our asses off for salaries that don't even keep up with inflation, and then we see BILLIONS of our tax dollars handed out like welfare checks to foreigners.

    Yep, I'm mad today. I'm tired of working to support everyone EXCEPT those in my own country.
  • #189

    I agree with you in part -- but disagree with you on having money -- what we have is DEBT up to our eyeballs, and funny-money being printed 24/7--

    How long do you think this charade is going to last??
    Basically and for many years now, this government ha been borrowing so much money (very often using short-term loans), the string is running out, we will no longer be able to afford even the interest on these loans!

    Every single hour, of every single day, the U.S. gubment spends about $200 million that it doesn't have!
    For a point of reference, consider that in just two months, the government borrows more money than the combined annual profits of the 100 biggest publicly traded companies in America. <source Stansberry & Assoc>

    EXCERPT: from Netadvisor, Dec. 12, 2012--(Govt sepending 85 billion a month on stimulus alone).
    Buying U.S. Treasuries (U.S. debt) and mortgages. This hasn't’t solved any of our financial or fiscal problems in the last 4 years; it has actually made them worse. But the government and the FED intend to keep on doing the same thing expecting a different result by ever increasing the volume on the treasury printing presses...They don't even have time to emblazon Mickey and Goofy's picture on each bill....
