Am I pleased at this? Uh NO I'm not. We shouldn't be providing a paid for by our taxes raising and teaching illegal aliens. That's a huge burden on our system. We have enough problems that we need to deal with.

    Solution for illegal immigration crisis:

1.) Widen the Rio Grande and build angular fences on the U.S. side (where the top of the bridge hangs over the water).
2.) Separate all illegal immigrants by their nationality.
3.) Process each immigrant (DNA, photos, fingerprints, etc...).
4.) Deport (via air travel) all illegal immigrants -- men, women and children -- to the capital city of their nation of origin.
5.) Send a bill with each plane that covers all entitlement benefits, capture costs, processing and deportation costs.
6.) If foreign nations do not pay their bills, penalties should be assessed. If bill is still not paid, freeze foreign assets and suspend trade into this country.

I think the Liberal's and their media lap doggies thought we'd be considered cold and heartless and they would win in the public opinion arena...looks to me like they couldn't be more wrong or have made a bigger miscalculation. There's a hell of a backlash against the illegal immigration thing...I even think some RINO's are in shock today as well!

@ccchhhrrriiiss Too expensive that way. Just enforce the deportatiin laws and the laws on hiring. Anyone that hires an illegal goes to jail and loses their company. If a private citizen hires one, take their property. No jobs, it would look like cock roaches going back accross the border

@fscott777 or they could go back to their own countries and apply for legal immigration and then go to school here. tired of hearing about a "path to citizenship" for these folks. there is one. go back and do it legally!!
  • #184
    !
@gherlone nope, once they cross into the US Illegally, they should no longer be able to apply to come to the US. We don't need any more felons here. Sherrif Joe will run out of desert to put his tent prisons in.
We seriously need to screen all applications for citizenship and disallow felons and convicts, we have enough of our own.

@Saving_USA no shit. so what?? pressure the Mexican govt to get their stuff together, but don't take on the unending problem of everyone else's problems.

and #1 is utterly false, btb. only 70% of the guns ID'd by Mexican authorities as of USA origin (only about a quarter of the total) could be confirmed as of US origin. the vast majority of guns in the cartel wars are from other _continents_. the cartels did get a big boost from our government with Fast & Furious, though ...
  • #306
    !
@DickB agree generally re: felons, but deportees should have the opportunity to apply. if they didn't commit felonies here, they should be considered.

Just another fine expense the tax payers must pay for thanks to illegals. Combine this with the free healthcare they will get in hospitals, the food stamps they will receive, the free college tuition, etc. and people can see why citizens are outraged by this!

Hell maybe we should all just start walking across the border to Mexico, renouncing our citizenship, then swim back across when we are minors and get all the freebies.

This is lunacy! We should be billing these kids' home countries for these expenses rather than forcing citizens to pay for it!
  • #3

I'm still trying to figure out why illegal aliens have rights like a United States citizen? Send them home and Bill them and Mexico the expense involved, because Mexico just turned their heads and let them come through.

I think it's time we start rounding up politicians who support illegals and arrest them for human trafficking, contributing to the delinquency of minors, and assisting with criminal activities. Try them. Convict them. Jail them.

"Education Secretary Arne Duncan and Attorney General Eric Holder issued new guidance in May reminding districts that a 1982 Supreme Court ruling gives all children the right to enroll in school, regardless of immigration status."

The fact that they went out of their way to make a point of this just shows how much they favor this invasion.
  • #23
    !
Well that only makes me think better of Holder. Why is it fine when the u.s. invades other countries dropping bombs and killing innocent people, but not ok for people whose countries are destroyed by u.s. action to come to the very place that led to the destruction of their lives? This applies very well considering destruction visited on hondorous, guatamala, salvador by cia and mexico and columbia by dea. I believe the phrase is chickens coming home to roost. I address you cause you are one of the more thinking conservative leaning voices on hear and I want to know your response to this.
  • #33
    !
@PoliticalSpice You realize that your argument might hold more water if you could actually spell the names of those countries, I hope? Or use 'hear' and 'you're' correctly. If you went to school, you're a poor advertisement for American education, to be sure.
  • #37
    !
@Tacitus01 And for one so focused on grammer, spelling and such, it might behove you to learn the difference between an argument and a question. A little reading comprehension on your part wouldn't go a miss. I care less about you spelling nazis.
  • #55
    !
@PoliticalSpice Hmm. That is an interesting perspective. It is true that our meddling has had plenty of repercussions. It could be said that the fact that we have such a viable narcotics industry, we have direct responsibility for some of this violence? But do we really? The same could be said for the Blood Diamond market as well. Possibly the illegal ivory market... Iraq, Afghanistan... Don't these countries need to take responsibility themselves?

We already give countries all over the world millions of dollars every year. We constantly hear about our debt to China. What about everyone else's debts to us? Why does it seem that every time we give money, it's a gift, but every time we take money, it's a loan. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Besides that, when does it end? When is the debt paid? How many generations "deserve" payment? And the big question is why do we seem to be held to this insane standard when no one else is? Slavery and oppression has been around for millennia, but the US has to accommodate all of them, regardless of when they happened or where? The most recent slavery reparations come to mind here. It seems to me that the world has a similar attitude to many Americans these days. We want that American money, and we want you to give it to us, no strings attached. They are entitled to it, and any single person or group can come up with twenty reasons why. In some ways it makes the appeasement during WWII look pale in comparison.

The disparity is finally tearing our nation apart. The humanitarianism is noble and important, but just like oxygen masks in an airplane, you still have to take care of home first because if we fall, who is going to help then?

Let me get this straight... If you cross the North Korean border illegally, you get 12 years hard labor. If you cross the Afghanistan border you get shot. Two Americans just got 8 years for crossing the Iranian border. If you cross the U.S. border illegally, you get a job, driver`s license, food stamps, health care , housing, child benefits, education, and a tax free business for 7 years. What the hell is wrong with this picture?

@HoraceGreely Don't confuse your front door with the country's border.

My, my, my, you must've gotten an A in rhetoric, but you got an F trying to pull the wool over my eyes.

It would be someone like you to think that the entire country belongs to you and that the border is your front door. I'm willing to bet you don't even own land along the border. So shut up! Your front door is what you walk out in the morning on your way to work, and it ends there!!!! Everything beyond your front door is not yours!!!!! So stop trying to set rules on public domain!!!! I'm a US citizen and I also pay taxes!!!! I say let them stay!!!!!
  • #473
    !
@demon you really got confused. Our borders are our front door. You don't pay my taxes and it's not up to you to decide. Them showing up uninvited and coming here illegally does not obligate us to take them in any more than someone breaking in your house obligates you to take them in. I pay taxes and I say send them home!!!
See? Your argument just isn't enough.

I am not anti immigrant but I just do not understand how you can enroll in a government support school system without legal documentation. I remember as a child going to new schools when we moved having to have legal prof of residence and a valid us birth certificate. This makes no sense we have no responsibility to educate people who are essentially criminals.

@speedieg I am very pro-immigrant, since I have branches of the family here since the 1700s and some from the 1900s. and the thing I can never understand is why it appears that a lot of legal immigrants support the illegal immigration industry. can't understand that at all.

When these illegal aliens go to public schools it's going to take away from kids that belong there. Send every one of them back and close the border tight. And do what ever it takes to stop illegal border crossings. Began mass deportation now, Save America from these illegals and their anchors. Abolish the anchor baby law.

Illegal!!! Not undocumented....its time the government stops the devastating river of illegals coming into our country and turn a deaf ear to the whining of sympathizers. This is a burden we cant afford at this time and it's going to destroy our country. This is completely unfair to the American taxpayer. I know what the inscription on the statue of liberty says but there are laws for coming here and these people are lawbreakers and criminals that get a free pass. I understand them wanting to migrate here which is fine but go through the process. This problem needs dealt with swiftly and start inforcing the current laws strongly....

I prefer the term Illegal Alien which is an alien who has entered the United States illegally and is deportable if apprehended, or an alien who entered the United States legally but who has fallen "out of status" and is deportable. And no im as legal as the next US born citizen. Your right about one thing and that is its a law that's not inforced well and thats the entire problem!! It needs to be enforced in a more harsh law upholding manner...

Really??? We should be all welcoming and NOT think about OUR county, our debts, our 17 trillion dollar deficit, our weakened economy and the millions of people here who already drain and abuse the welfare system? No, I'm not happy about nor should anyone expect me to be all warm and fuzzy inside about it either. We cannot handle this "invasion" and more to the point , the American people SHOULDN'T HAVE TOO.. but then again, with the obama administration, when have the American people ever come first???
  • #27

" when have the American people ever come first??? "

That is actually a French saying which mocks USA , However looking at Paris and their Islamic nightmare . I don't think they should be mocking anyone.

Regardless of France . US politicians do disregard the citizens in countless ways .

You either close the border and get real tough on illegals next election or it is game over for you.
  • #341
    !
@Fleck The reason YOU don't come first is because you're not the only Americans. Didn't you learn anything in history?

It was the land-mass now known as South America, that first got named America back in 1507. More than two hundred years before the US was formed.

But yeah, I can't expect any high degree of intelligence from conservatives. After all, playing it save and sticking to traditions and the status quot is their agenda.

Gotta break it to you, but you're all a bunch of stale, outdated, crusty and dusty farts.
