@Cincinnatus The hearing should consist of only one question: Are you here illegally? If yes, pack your gear and out of here!

These current and future MS13 gangsters might as well get used to living in cages now since most of them will eventually end up in prison anyhow.

    And, I agree 100% with @TheJimmy
They need to get used to their future living arrangements......

This is what Obama's "Kiddie Pawn" horror story realities are like in real life folks...his and the Democrats like Nancy & Hairy who are only using them for "vote hopefuls" for the Democrat party, or the Scum party...if you will.

Might want to do a bit of research on this one. The law that ties the presidents hands on this one was signed into law in 2008. It was done just before JR left office. His little yuck yuck too Obama. They can't be sent back until they have a hearing before a judge. They will be assigned attorneys and case workers from the DHS as the law requires. Since they are minors, immigration is to turn them over to DHS.

Life isn't as simple as many think it is. These aren't criminals, they're children. For people that are so adverse to abortion, it seems that once born, they become expendable.

  • #229

@Bob112z2 You want to put an end to this? Get behind the president and force congress to change the law that Bush put into play back in 08'. The republicans have, as to date, refused to allow that to happen. This mess is seen as a political boon for the right. They know the truth of it. They also know that the republican base voters won't bother to find out what is actually going on.

    @Hrsqsiest

Yea, it was in place for Obama and the Democrats to take advantage of so they could have their "Kiddie Pawn" games. No one said harm them...just send them back home and fix the leaks and the laws. Every nation has its borders and they are there for a reason and to protect that nations sovereignty and economy.

So, what do you suggest...we starve and neglect our own for the foreigner's kids?

If we don't get these kids processed and on the way back home very quick, send a strong message that we are not going to give amnesty , they are expecting 140,000 MORE in the next year.

It's obvious we can't handle what is here now. We certainly can't handle 140,000 more.
  • #10

not sending them all back now is sending the message we will take in all and fully support them. once this group starts getting to phones or computers. maybe that is what the hold up is so we can be invader further by obama's chosen peoples.

@Cincinnatus 200,000 means only 6 new people for every incorporated city in the US. There's indeed plenty of room. I welcome them!

The real key to the situation is to get the ideologues and politically corrupt criminals ( virturally everyone in DC ) out of the way so Americans can fight a real war against the smugglers, devoid of the "even handedness" of our politicized criminal justice system and make these bastards pay with their lives like they are making these children pay. ANYONE who abuses children deserves to die in pieces whether Mexican or American.
  • #8
    !
same goes for the governments who are helping them get here, all involved are going against us as a country and deserve no aid. mexico is giving them a free pass,"as long as they do not stay in mexico" see how that works all are dumping on the USA.

"We have to do right not just by these kids but by our kids and protect the children who are here, put them in the least restrictive settings, get them out of these detention centers and these kennels where they are being cooped up, and operate as the good and generous people that we have always been. That's what's at stake here, as well as the lives of these kids."

Everything in this persons statement is irrelevant. If they aren't supposed to be here, then they shouldn't be here. Physically turn them around and tell them to walk in the other direction. It's just that simple. For every one of the 57,000 that have waltzed across the border there are 10 here at home with unfit parents already on the government teat. Secure the border, treat the problem here at home, and then maybe we can accept new people to be on the government teat. The time for a fence with motion detectors across the whole border is here, right now. Plenty of people out of work, and needing something to do here at home, combined with the expense of thousands and thousands of illegals = build the fence.

  • #352
    !
@Cincinnatus Actually it's not. The article states that they are just walking up to border patrol and we're taking them. It's just as simple as not taking them and then all the sudden we don't have this problem anymore. Not everything requires a long drawn out liberal plan of action.
  • #370
    !
    @KentuckyJim

How about a long drawn out conservative plan of action?

One that includes some acknowledgement that a kids life is worth something, even if the kid doesn't look like you.

Are we a christian nation because we say so, or because we act like it.
  • #444
    !
@Cincinnatus - Are you nuts! The conservatives have only come up with long drawn out plans of action regarding things like, repealing the ACA, Benghazi and IRS 'scandal' investigations, and ways to restrict the vote.

The conservatives haven't come up with a plan of action for ANYTHING. What makes you think they'd start now? Oh. that's right. They're working on a healthcare bill, a jobs bill, and an immigration bill. Don't hold your breath. And anyway, they obviously don't see this as the 'crisis' they claim it to be. They're going on vacation for a month. Good thing too. They've been working really hard at avoiding anything that even looks like work.

Much easier to criticize and point fingers. And they keep forgetting that GWB signed the original bill, with huge Republican support.

Last time I looked, the kennels were clean and provided safe but short-term holding areas. They beat being left outside in the heat. It is supposed to be 115 today. Imagine walking around in it with no water, no food, and no supervision.
  • #375
    !
@DickB Actually, I want better holding areas for them. Desperation is the mother of invention, isn't it? I was a former child death team co-chair for a Pennsylvania county. I know how bad things really are and these kids are lucky.
  • #380
    !
I've had the good fortune to travel to so many 3rd world countries, where life has no value, I too know first hand how bad it can be, especially in a country that is suffering from corrupt governments, laws that prohibit the betterment of the average citizen. Kennels are not the place for these kids, but for crying out loud, the government is running out of space. We need a quicker fix to this issue. The big problem is, nobody knows what the right thing to do is. Every idea on the table has it's flaws.
  • #450
    !
@DickB Yep. I lived in SE Asia for many years and noticed people near starvation and with many diseases that were untreated in my own travels. Our poor are wealthy by comparison. The average citizen doesn't have a clue as to how bad things can get with a corrupt government various caste systems. Better indoor kennels than outdoor tents.

These kids shouldn't be treated like animals, but they should be treated like juvenile delinquents. They broke the law to come here. If their parents neglected or abused them and they ran away, they broke the law too.
  • #374
    !
But we can't prosecute the parents, and these kids are already in detention waiting to see an immigration judge, so what do you suggest we do with them. All the federal buildings are full beyond capacity, the kennels are better then putting them out on the streets to break more laws, and I don't have the room in my house or heart for them.
  • #465
    !
The country's these kids came from have their own government, their own courts and their own justice system. If the authorities from other countries take a hands off approach and make the US responsible for their kids, they should be charged with dereliction of duty. Have they sent these kids any aid or are they taking us for granted and depending on the generosity of strangers? The media guilt trips of "look at those cute little kids, want to take one home?" is wearing very thin. They're children. Not puppies. If they were, we could have them spayed or neutered.
  • #466
    !
@DickB read something like 80 or 90% of these kids were send for by illegal aliens parents living here,we can prosecute those parents yet our sorry excuse for leaders refuse to. it is a federal conspiracy and the feds are playing part instead of doing their jobs of enforcing the laws.

seems sending them to their homelands where they belong would be better all the way around.

just what does anyone expect? you bust in in mass numbers unannounced unexpected and illegally to boot.

some here seem to think we should boot citizens out of their homes and give it to these folks, after all they also expect to be supported for the next few years besides send to the school of their choice in the town or state of their choice and then given jobs of their choice, then vote dem. if they was not given instruction on how to do that at the border.

folks need to also realize some of these so called kids are teens and almost adults,or legal adults, others are whole families all wanting to be breast fed off others.

let the attacks begin, though when you attack, how much out of your own pocket have you sent to support these folks, or do you want others to do it all while you say how hard hearted i am.

the conditions do look harsh hopefully enough to have them all home sick and read to go back

This is a sad situation. I am of mixed feelings.
Why would these people throw away thousands of dollars to make that trip just to be put in kennels?
They have come to a country that has promised them if you get here we will keep you
    Who is to blame?
They were not told that they were coming hear illegally?
    Who is to blame?
Does it matter that they didn't know?
    Who is to blame?
I am staunch supporter of enforcing our borders.
    Who is to blame?
Should we let them stay, even though they are here, by deception and lies, illegally?
    Who is to blame?
Are we to take care of them under these circumstances ?
    Who is to blame?
Should we raise money ourselves and send them back home?
    Who is to blame?
    What is the Christian's duty?
Who is to blame-one person-a group of people-a government or a country
God have mercy on our country, forgive our sins, don't give us justice, give us mercy.
  • #78

if they did not go to the proper entry point and hired smugglers they knew it was illegal. you do not sneak in if you do not think you are breaking laws.

who promised them? did you see an add that i have not seen?

if these folks are so broke and in poverty how do they come up with all the money to pay the smugglers?

yes God forgive us for not protecting our borders and citizens, if we were doing like we were supposed to these folks would have never made it in.

though we cannot blame ourselves or our country for those who have no values or concept of right and wrong, criminals for the most part think their crimes are ok.

these folks know it is wrong to break in,the proof is how they came,it all falls on them, and mexico for helping it along.
  • #87
    !
We can blame people later. These kids need help.

You can start with the US Government and their sponsorship of neo-fascist coups in Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala
  • #111
    !
Had this happened under different circumstances, we'd be obligated to care for a group of refugee children. But considering the president invited them to come here, they and their adult parents need to be sent back. Especially when you consider that no one has proper ID and all have been given a free pass to operate without it. If they had been in immenent danger, that too would be an issue. How many American kids are forced to live in dangerous neighborhoods every day? Both sides of our gov't is to blame for allowing them to stay.
And AMEN to your prayer to God. I am in agreement with you on that.
