UN representative Chris Gunness today broke down on live TV over the sixth bombing of a UN school in Gaza. The video is now being widely shared on social media.
"The rights of Palestinians, and even their children, are wholesale denied...and it's appalling," Gunness said, before breaking down and weeping openly on Al Jazeera Arabic. Gunness is the spokesman for the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA), and was speaking from Jerusalem.
He was commenting on the latest attack on a UN school, which killed at least 16 people. The school housed some 3,3000 Gazan refugees, and Israeli forces had been sent its coordinates no less than 17 times, according to UN officials.
