So now Newsweek is an authority on the pulse of the Tea Party? That's pretty laughable. Look, many Tea Party people like Palin, but it's not her private army. If Romney wants to appeal to the Tea Party, he doesn't need to kiss up to Palin. He just needs to convince them that he's willing to fight to cut spending and lower taxes - with specific proposals.

This quote from the source article sums up the feelings of the Tea Party and by extension Sarah Palin as well

"What galls the Tea Party activists is the sense that Romney represents a lost opportunity for their agenda of less government, flatter taxes, and constitutional restraint. Facing a vulnerable president saddled with a bad economy and a crisis in the public sector, they feel stuck with a guy served up by Republican elites who speaks conservatism with an establishment accent."

Sarah Palin has become one of the voices that the Tea Party pays attention to. This "non-invitation" is a slap in the face for the conservative Grassroots.

Maybe it's time for us Tea Partiers to get our signs back out and meet up in Tampa.

I'm not sure she deserves the title, "Governor." After all, she grew bored and resigned half way into her first term. I don't think even the citizens of Alaska are too fond of her anymore.

I have a feeling the "established" Republicans are nervous about this election too.... Not inviting Sara Palin is a perfect example that the Republican Party leadership needs a change.

So, Tea Party folks might turn their backs on Romney because he didn't extend a special invitation to the moose hunting bimbo?
I'm no fan of the Tea Party, but I can't believe its members would actually be stupid enough to do something so suicidal.
On the other hand, Romney better make sure the mindless Minnesotan, Michele Bachmann, gets a goldplated, engraved invitation, or there will be h*ll to pay. lol

I don't think you understand the mindset of the Tea Party.

And "bimbo" is a sexist remark. Liberals made the rule that gender-specific insults are "sexist" even if only referring to one person, as long as the recipient of the insult is a democrat.

You are either sexist, hypocritical, ignorant or a combination of the three. Take your pick.

Well, I'm neither a liberal nor a Democrat, so your outburst is misdirected. By the way, I think Rick Perry and Donald Trump are 'mimbos'. Enjoy the rest of your day.

In the movie "54," Micheal York and Lauren Hutton laugh amusingly when Ryan Phillippe thinks that being called a "gorgeous troglodyte" is a compliment.
I read this article and that scene automatically jumped into my mind.
Perhaps this year, Romney and the RNC didn't feel a court jester was needed.

Palin should have been invited to the convention. In fact she should be Romney's running mate. Still, I have some issues with Palin anyway because she decided not to run herself. I thought she had that fire in the belly. She definitely has the right ideology and the passion to stir up true Americans to support her. She let obysmal back her down and she cowered and backed out of running. America will survive Sarah, your loss for not being the one to help lead us to the promise land.

Okay, let's suppose the very worst case scenario: Mitt chooses Palin as running mate and only stupid people vote and M & P win!!!
Within two years, Palin will grow bored with being V.P. and then Mitt will have to find himself a new one.

No the worst case senario for you keyjo would be if Sarah was vise president, you would have no gay rights anymore because of what she believes. And everyone wants Sarah to run but she said years ago she doesn't want to, I think she'd make an amazing running mate, but who could blame her for not wanting her family attacked more than they already are.
