Im pretty sure from the very start, that 49% never would of trusted Obama because they are to far republican and right wing for their own good. In that case, does it really matter?

@AceLuby That's fine. That's not my point. I am simply just stating that Obama's victory was that sweet knowing half of America didn't back him up.(any president for that matter!)

First, the Romney people have now conceded Florida to the President. Second, the President won in spite of Rick Scott and the Republicans doing all that they could to limit voting by presumptive Democratic voters, shorting early the voting period, denying people from bring water to older and minority voters in the heat.

Do you really want a prediction? Ask Nate Silver.
Do you want confirmation? Ask Chuck Todd.

The presidential election of 2012 is over! Good night.

Who cares which candidate won. The election is already over thanks to the electoral college. Welcome to the Worthless States of America Florida, your vote does not matter!! Popular vote now! Obama would still have won, but at least everyone's vote would matter. Even better have all presidential primary votes on the same day. I for one am sick of Iowa picking the top two candidates. By the time the rest of the country votes, the best candidates have been erased by the big money guys.

The joke here in Florida is....."it's like it never happened"......the country just re-elected a President and we had nothing to do with it. I do think that both parties were so intent on litigating this election that holding the election and counting the vote became secondary. Shame on us for allowing them to make our state a laughingstock.....again.

Take it up with your fearless leader Gov Scott. He and the Republican leadership created the mess in the first place by playing fast and loose with the early voting. Or You could dig deeper and maybe place some blame at the feet of Katherine Harris and her role in the 2000 election. Your elections have been laughing stocks for years. In my opinion it is self inflicted.

But it doesn't matter....Obama has already won a second term in office...Maybe the feds. need to manage Florida's elections from now on. They just can't seem to get it right.

It will be a sweet victory if the Dems win Florida too. Just more for the right to be bitter about. Kind of like a bad Florida grapefruit.

A victory in Florida would be the cherry on top for those of us who voted for Obama. Not necessary, but it would be a nice touch.

Floridian here...Obama will take the state because they have the cities with higher populations. As a matter of fact, the whole nation of bigger cities is what put Obama in again.

I think it doesn't matter. Obama has enough electoral votes to win the election regardless of which way Florida goes.

Issues with votes in Florida. Boy there's news huh? We hear this every four years! When is that state going to get it together?

Neither if its this close. Do you really feel like you won if 49% voted against you? is 51% such an endorsement that you can feel confidant and capable of representing the whole? There is no winner when such polarization exists. Its our foreseeable future.

Awww, you think the Popular Vote matters. I used to be naive with big eyes once too. Now I'm just a jaded husk.:(
49% of Americans didn't want Obama as President. Who gives a rats a55? You think anyone in DC cares? The magic number is 270.
