The ignorant love to hear wonderful comments... People "you made me a better President"...

Give me a break... He is a figurehead for a group of smart social scientists that know how to push our buttons and use statistics to concentrate their attack. What useful thing does this group, at the top of our food chain otherwise do. Do we get food from them? Do we get scientific inventions from them? Do they cure diseases?
They are this President's advisers, he is the face of their party. They steal the wealth of our nation by printing paper money, so much so that they devalue whatever we own.
Unfortunately we voted a corrupt mindset into power because their social mindset has figured out how to enslave the brains of more than 50% of our population.

Wow. My brain is enslaved? I guess that means I can stop bothering to think for myself and just become a Rush Limbaugh Ditto-Head.

Nice rant, though. Well written, thoughtful, and heart-felt.

Demographics be damned. The way I see it the fiscally irresponsible people (who likely support Obama) are going to the the ones most in trouble when the economic correction happens. As I've said for years, the sooner we deal with it the better it will be for all.

I am a white male Libertarian. Romney didn't get my vote because all the people behind Romney were GW Bush people. I used to be a Republican but if you study the history of the Republicans since the Reagan took office, the GOP is every bit as bad of spenders as the Dems and in fact account for more of our deficit than the Dems. I can't mention names here because the post will be pulled but some of you GOP who post here are in denial. The GOP today is no more truthful, no more honest, no more conservative or thrifty than the worst liberal. This will never change until people stop goose stepping to party lines.

I am a Latina woman and I voted for Romney. Unlike most minorities I voted because I don`t want what Obama has to offer nor do I want to live in a socialist country. I believe most ppl voted for Obama because of race and did not bother to really think about what our futures and the direction he is pointing it to.

READ bsking's comment below. I could not have said it better!!!! Obama was re-elected because he is the one the promised the most free stuff. The rest of the Communist-Socialist world in S. America, Iran and Russia are breathing a sigh of relief. Obama is a bad, bad man but who cares? He gives away free stuff.

Also, communism and socialism are two completely different paradigms. The fact you use them interchangeably shows you do not understand either and are instead using these 'isms' as scare tactics.

@Denizen_Kate the free is stuff is Obamacare (which is not free, if you pay premiums), free birth control, free money to cities (trees, roads, signage) free breakfast lunch and dinner for shool kids, free internet and it goes on. It is the perception that "stuff" will be more available, even if it really isn't. As for the Communist-Socialist principles, redistribution of your wealth and being in bed with the unions is paramount to King Obama's goals. He's a baby Hugo Chavez and he caters to those types of regimes. Now you have him, what are you going to do with him??

the truth is there are more takers then there are makers. the real story is not the Republican Party shrinking, it's the gift bags that the Democrats handout that increases the draw to their party.
  • #7
    !
53% of the electorate pays income taxes. A lot of the rest simply do not make enough to be taxed, what in your opinion makes these people 'takers' and how do you get that there are more than 50% of them?
  • #30
    !
@AceLuby that's the idea that made them lost and they do not know any better to abort that nonsense. They got that bs from bulls**t mountain.
  • #48
    !
@AceLuby under Obama only, welfare recipients up 35 percent.

food stamp recipients of 71 percent.
I didn't say the Entire Democrat Party was on welfare or food stamps or didn't pay taxes. the reason the Democrat Party continue to grow especially among immigrants is the hand outs.

people can walk into this country now and go directly to the welfare rolls . it used to be we expected people to learn English get a job and support themselves to be allowed to live here and become a citizen, and we expected them to become a productive member of society and for the most part they did.

now it's all about building your political base so that the elite politicians can stay in control. the ingenious way the Democrats have been able to build their base is to strip out restrictions that put responsibility on the individual and replace that with all kinds of freebies including making the Spanish the majority language in many areas. couple that with stripping out the requirements for work , not pushing for assimilation even going so far as to supply translators anywhere from the courthouse to a welfare office. these types of policies encourage abuse. but they also accomplish the goal of welcoming new dependents. and as we all know the party who gives away the most goodies will retain the takers.

Obama promised every single group everything they wanted in exchange for a vote. we already know he's a liar apparently those groups didn't. but anybody who promises you the moon and the stars, to quote our eloquent ,sophisticated president, " is a bullshitter".(his words.rolling stone interview. in regards to Mitt Romney)

@bsking Yep, due to the recession he inherited. These aren't programs he started and he didn't change anything to qualify, it was the failure of the last administration, and the failure of the private sector that made the issues you are concerned about so bad. Your handle does fit you nicely though, quite the bs'er.

I'm not sure the GOP is capable of reaching out to women and minorities. Just listen to Rush Limbaugh's nearly incoherent rant from yesterday -- he has no clue what's important to women, no clue what "reaching out" to minorities even means. As long as the GOP is overrun with Ditto Heads, how can we expect them to change their dialog?
  • #47
    !
they would have reached more women with a more conservative platform, they keep choosing these guys that are half democrat/half republican. Why do you think reagan won? we have more conservatives than we do the opposite and they will vote for a clear choice, not a muddled one. I have loads of friends that are women and men and they all wanted a change in this election

I think Romney said what he had to say. His plan looked affective, and 50 % of the nation knew that but the people chose. The last 4 years were disasterous with bigger govt, higher spending, more unemployment, 6 trillion more to the deficit. And our children and grandchildren are left with the burden. I see increased cost through higher taxes to pay for obamacare. We are in big trouble, but don't worry, Bigger Govt. is going to take care of us.

As a woman, I am embarrassed that there are so many stupid women out there. When the mainstream media is in the tank for Obama what can the Republicans do if women aren't smart enough to do their own research? I'm ashamed of the women that did not do their due diligence and voted on emotions and untruths rather than facts. Shame on them! Now we ALL pay for the air heads. Hope they enjoy the riots that ensure when we go off the financial cliff for all the entitlements.

@crittersitters - As a woman, I am embarrassed that there are ANY women like you. I read, I research, and I think for myself. When men such as Akin, Mourdock, and Walsh open their ignorant pie holes and tell me how I should feel about rape and reproduction and what "god intended" it makes me want to vomit. If these are the men you want governing your life and dictating your values, you deserve them. Shame on you.

Will the potus change his ??
    NEVER bet on it

@AceLuby....I have three questions. Question #1. Do you think it is good for a one-party state in the US...as in the govt controlled by ONE party? Question #2. Mr. Obama has not provided any economic policies to increase that 53% of the electorate that does pay taxes. In fact, his policies will result in that 53% becoming smaller, especially over the next 10 years (5 if austerity measures are aggressively deployed which is what his advisors are essentially suggesting). Do you think that is a positive result and a good direction of this nation? Finally, Question #3. If you answer #2 is YES, then please explain the long term effects of a majority underclass being supported by a minority producer class? Feel free to pull out a history book before answering.

One way they could have won women is simply tell Todd Adkin, Richard Mourdock, and John Koster to shut up. Keeping quiet on the topic of abortion is probably what's best for the GOP.
  • #88
    !
There is no question these comments hurt the GOP. Before these comments Romney was attracting the support of women because he was able to keep the debate about a strong economy to secure the future for the next generation. The GOP's current message isn't so much pro life as much as it is no abortion. Now someone might say that is semantics. Not really. The pro life message needs to be more than just saying no. It needs to be about strengthening churches and other local charity efforts to make sure more women feel like they can legitimately choose life. Because of the loss of community women feel alone and feel they have no choice. If the choice is based on desperation, life will lose more often than not.

Ahh...demonizing the white man again...how liberal and so predictable. Do they ever
stop? Only when they demonize those who have worked hard to become "rich". I am
so tired of success being ridiculed by the Left, how sad, since success is what made
America great. I guess those days are gone, now it's "see how much I can get from the
government" mentality. Nothing like praising and rewarding those who want to sit back
and get the government "freebies". Not the ones who need it, or have earned it, but the ones who will continue to abuse the system. Shame on them!
  • #24
    !
Mimi57 the question is not about demonizing white men. The facts speak for themselves, The right wing will have to comprehend that it's impossible to win a national election by offending every demographic EXCEPT white men.
  • #62
    !
@mimi57 - No one is demonizing anyone. This article merely pointed out that while males do not represent the diversity of America and Americans. No one is ridiculing white men, or women, or anyone who works hard. You're too defensive here. Also, you're ranting a little, mostly about federal assistance scammers, who in reality are few in comparison to those of us who work and pay our taxes. You are the one doing the demonizing.
