@woodtick57 actually it has always been my opinion that you ate an American or "something else."
It's a conflict of interest should reps have dual citizenship. They should have to renounce one or the other.
Now I'm not saying they denounce their heritage or culture though.

@Penn1699 So wouldn't any citizens of the US acting as a government representative vote on measures that partain to them?

What changed from the election? Oh yeah...number of takers increased, thus keeping Obama in and the economy getting worse.

Wait Wait Wait, you got wait to read my memoirs before you know how bad I really am. Then it will be too late for you to do a damn thing about it.

If there ever was a strong case for term limits - Nancy Pelosi is it. "We have to pass the bill before we know what's in it". And people actually voted for that. Sad!

Nancy has been known to make statements that rival Biden's foolishness on a fairly regular basis. She is yet another ultra rich Democrat who does not practice what she preaches; her goal is power and perks.

This woman is a total whack job!! Seriously!! How can she possibly still hold this position? 4 years ago I thought she was on her way to the looney bin! 2 years ago I thought for sure she was only out to pass the bill before she read it!! Now it's definitely time for Blinky to give it a rest before she says or does something else WE will regret.

I knew she'd never leave, the only way she'll go out is when she's as stiff as a board, still clutching some gavel in
her cold hands, and they'll have to pry it out, and haul her out feet first! She's a tough old wine drinking bird. LOL

wouldn't it be a hoot if she came down with some terminal disease in February of 2014... and the panel of bureaucrats decided that she's too old to get treatment.... that would be sweet.

I know it is a tired old phrase but we already have term limits. they are called elections. Why should a district be forced to elect someone new if they like the incumbent?

@MRMacrum Here's why. Despite a approval rating for Congress below 25% survey and study after survey and study has shown that the American people think Congress is corrupt, entrenched, bought and paid for EXCEPT for their own congressperson. It's a classic case of seeing the forest but not seeing the tree. I don't believe that a rational case for keeping Pelosi, Boehner, Reid or McConnell can be made. In fact, as Tom Coburn of Oklahoma says, "we all need to be voted out". Well that's not going to happen so we need term limits.

@jessejaymes - Really? and you know this how? Corruption starts at the state level within the party ranks of the locals. By the time a pol hits DC they are well versed in the particular type of corruption they are expected to participate in. Term limits would not guarantee anything except well, limiting the time a pol could serve. Which would just shift the corruption back to the party bosses and who they decide to field as candidates. A better solution I think would be to create a more transparent atmosphere in Congress.
