Funny. Here in Illinois Jesse Jackson Junior bragged about his innocence with a possible investigation into shenanigans with the words, "Bring it on!" Two days later he was investigated and now he is plea bargaining to stay out of jail on the misuse of campaign funds. Same happened with two former governors Blago and Ryan and Rep. Dan Rasinkowski.

Bold statements of innocence from Illinois politicians doesn't usually mean anything. Often the opposite. Thank God Barack Obama doesn't have any affiliation with Illinois politics.

    oh wait...

Haha..love OUR PRESIDENT. He is just too straightfoward for too many people. He doesn't sugar-coat shyt...and that doesn't rest well with many. The ones putting up a fuss about his "come after me" remark would rather have someone who would bullshit with them...give them a half ass answer, and flip flop on everything spewing out of their mouth. Sound familiar??

Maybe that is why that "someone" isn't in office today.

    Obama is just TOO REAL.

Well I don't like either party but I have to admit that most the comments on here against Obama are pretty much in the same spirit and vein as the comments were against Clinton. I'm reminded of the far right wing claiming that Clinton was going to declare Martial Law and become dictator.. You would think that over time that people would grow up but some never do. And before the liberals all think I'm one of them let me say what I think of the furor over someone calling Rachel Maddow a "boy". YAWN.

He was right to tell them if they had a problem, bring it up with him. I call that loyalty to his staff. McCain said the buck stops with Obama. And Obama agreed by telling McCain and Graham to bring it on, but bring it to his door, not hers.

Why doesn't the all powerful Muslim say what reqlly happened? The lib media is even covering for him as always.
Americans died and Barry did NOTHING except blame a video that a 10 y/o would even say is stupid and apologize to his Muslim terrorist friends about the video.
His indoctrinated administration, for two weeks kept blaming the video even after it was told that the video had nothing to do with it.
He's a liar just like his "spokesidiots" that run around and keep repeating HIS lies that he hopes people will believe if said enough times.

@MRMacrum exactly!! The typical "want to be" uninformed, uneducated Barry supporter. "As long as it doesn't fit in my dream world perception, it didn't happen or exist... Baracko Claus can do what he wants as long as he promises me things and attacks those evil rich people that wont share their success with me...."

Life is tough, its even tougher when you're stupid.....

@NO-BAMA He has. even the most moderately informed know that. never apologized, I would love to see that quote...

Obama should take the fight to the senate GOP and support Susan Rice. Force the issue and let the GOP make fools of themselves in front of the world. Grandpa McCain actually denigrated Susan Rice by saying that she wasn't bright enough to be Secretary of State. This coming from a guy who graduated 894th of 899 in his class and thought that Sarah Palin was qualified to be vice president.

way to catch up. I guess there might be some people who think he picked Rice because she's the best candidate. Don't forget to embarass Graham too.

@DerivePI Why would I do that? He's the one who said that the GOP isn't generating enough angry white men to stay viable long term. I happen to agree with him on that. He's wrong about Benghazi but after all he is a republican so that is to be expected on most issues.

@Buggsy888 Let's see - Susan Rice graduated from Stanford and was a Rhodes Scholar. She has a PhD I believe in International Relations from Oxford University - arguably the most prestigious university in the world. Sarah Palin on the other hand attended 6 different colleges before graduating with a highly coveted journalism degree from University of Idaho. In conservative world Sarah Palin is more qualified. Now that I have explained that to you perhaps you will stop with the name calling and go back and turn on Fox News.

    "If I was President
And the Congress called my name
I’d say “now who do ...
Who do you think you’re fooling?”

    I’ve got the presidential seal
I’m up on the presidential podium.........."
    Paul Simon

You GO Mister President. A little more Trumanesqe and I like it.

Sure. When Bin Laden was finally assassinated, the Republicans couldn't wash the bitter taste from their mouth because they didn't want Mr. Obama to have been responsible for anything good. "That was the SEALs, not the POTUS." etc, etc, etc. But now that they feel there is blame to be assigned, it's all the POTUS. The hypocrisy is shameful.
  • #81
    !
Or, you can look at it another way. Obama takes the credit when something good does happen, but it's always somebody else's fault when something goes wrong.
  • #84

@ACTSmom Then why is he saying "Come after me" on Benghazi? That's very "the buck stops here." I think Mr. Obama could sneeze lollipops and some people would find a way to be grumpy about it.

Seems like this is a power game to see if the President has the power to get Rice approved as Sec. of State. Also seems like a dumb move if he's trying to appeal to bipartianship. Throw the GOP a bone that means nothing and then call them on what he really wants. but hey, that's politics...
  • #57

Not dumb, genius. McCain and Graham have been around the block a few times, they shouldn't be making such foolish mistakes.
  • #63
    !
@DerivePI i dont think this is a mistake actually just political gamesmanship and muscle flexing. they are testing the Pres. and he is testing them. The dumb part is that if Obama wants bipartisan coooperation he needs to give on something but since all involved are juveniles we'll just have a big cup of 4 more years of stalemate with fresh recriminations. Oh goody...

@ir0nw0lfe - Think of it this way (copied from a post above)- A couple of crusty old white Repubs are bashing on a young black woman and the black president comes to the rescue. Unless McCain and Graham can find the smoking gun (they won't) this tactic will further the false stereotype that the GOP is racist. Most Americans don't have a long attention span.
  • #86

@DerivePI i agree with you that the image of racism will play more than the facts with most Americans. Sad this where we are....

@ir0nw0lfe - after the 2008 election I could at least accept it as a learning time. 4 years of failed liberal policies and broken promises would certainly povide an education for the foolish. I told myself that the 14% unemployed blacks would not vote for another failed 4 years (I didn't think they wouldn't vote at all either). I was wrong. For 2012, there is no silver lining just a copper casing. The conservative message was clear and rejected. The sun is setting on this great nation and all I can do is enjoy the ability of our president with how he plays his political games.

the reason he can act tough now is because what they're doing to his former CIA boss.

what the hell is Lindsey Graham going to do ask somebody a few questions.... after what they've seen done to the general everybody in the government is going to say it was a video

The white house sent rice to give a presentation that the movies caused a riot. Obama claims he said it was a terrorist attack within 24 hrs. That is some serious double speak.

Actually no I don't. Why waste what little capital he has on this issue. There are many other possible candidates. Who is Sec/State is less important now than resolving our own domestic mess. But I did like him standing up for his own.

@PNWest Only CERTAIN americans who want a check mailed to them that they did not earn and are in effect leeches on a living host (taxpayers), I dont care if it was roweena the welfare queen or madge down at the bmv. Or anyone who collects a goverment check in any form, minus the military. Leeches, vampires, blood sucking ticks. Worthless, good for nothing, yet they deserve a big screen lcd tv though, right? Everyone else has one, they would feel disadvantaged to not have one, why hasnt obamaclaus sent them one yet?
  • #61
    !
@CATTLEPROD I don't get a check from the government and I voted for Obama. The way things work in a democracy is that the guy with the most votes wins (except in 2000 where partisan supreme court gave the office to Bush and in the congress where the dems got 1,000,000 more votes than the GOP but still have a minority due to GOP gerrymandering). So the majority of Americans say "Thank you Mr. President. Good luck with the next 4 years! Keep the seat warm for Hillary in 2016!"

@artjeb You obviously missed my many posts starting 2 weeks before the election saying that Obama had already won the election. There was nothing that Romney could have done short of walking on water that would have won him the election after the VP debate. His fate was sealed when Grandpa Joe "Bidenized" Cryin' Ryan.

Obama says "come after me" because he knows his administration will fall under the proverbial bus for him. Obama doesn't care about his subordinates, only his own fragile ego....which is massive.
