Couldn't have had anything to with him calling 47% of us takers who won't take personal responsibility for ourselves now could it? Or telling illegals to self-deport? Or saying "Corporations are people my friend"? Or Clint Eastwood and the empty chair? Or not releasing his tax returns? Or refusing to say what deductions he would cut while lowering the tax rates on the rich?

“Paychecks from private business shrank to their smallest share of personal income in U.S. history during the first quarter of this year, a USA TODAY analysis of government data finds.

At the same time, government-provided benefits —from Social Security, unemployment insurance, food stamps and other programs — rose to a record high during the first three months of 2010.

Those records reflect a long-term trend accelerated by the recession and the federal stimulus program to counteract the downturn. The result is a major shift in the source of personal income from private wages to government programs.”

Obama also said some rather eye raising things, like claiming that whites, gun owners etc were full of hate; it's just that the media loved Obama better.

And if you don't believe media support counts, from where do you believe a great proportion of the population gain their opinions from?

Anyway, Romney should have known that gifts buys votes; it's simple fact of modern elections. Elections have zero to do with whoever makes the better president (or prime minister), else we wouldn't have had either 3rd rate candidate. Romney's simply upset that he couldn't play the votebuying game as well as Obama.

Romney should blame the radical right wing of his party, that is what cost him the election. and McCain.

They will keep losing for the GOP until the true conservatives dump those whackjobs...

Its one of the reasons yes. Baracka Claus is nothing but the "panderer in chief" and only thrives because the "entitlement" mentality has been pounded into the heads of the "gullible". Its a disgrace. None of these "dependent on the government" drones have any self respect. Its nothing but, "...I want, I want, its not fair, give it to me..." as long as the libs keep throwing around "non funded" freebies for votes, the country will stumble.
How about every person in the country "paying their fair share", instead of stealing from others who happen to earn their money? If you've never paid into the system, you don't get anything out of it.
How about stoping the TV ads in Mexico telling them how American food stamps are waiting for them once they get here?
Greece is even laughing at us. That's sad.

@no bama. Sit back, enjoy the ride. It's coming. By April 1.2 mil jobs lost and hitting 14% unemployment.
Yes, jump all over the messenger. Call me names. It's ok. Eventually you shall see.
Mr O just pointed out today the "grand plan" to tax the 1-2% may backfire. In which case entitlements and the middle class will be taking the hit.
Words come out of his mouth. But his actions belie the words.

I would have to agree 100% with your assessment of the current situation.
With that said, our current situation is only currently the situation.
With Wal Mart cutting all full time employees back to 28 hours, saying, 28 is the new 40 at Wal-Mart, also they told their employees that stocks were about to fall big. I heard that today on the radio and from 3 Wal-Mart employees this morning who say they were just informed.
With Locheed Martin planning a lay off over 100,000.
With Hostess Twinkie firing all 600+ employees who were, at the time, on strike, and then locking the doors and closing that facility forever.(Expect a lot more of this)
Then Obama saying today, well if we go over the financial cliff then we will just have to raise taxes the middle class." He didn't say take even more from the rich, oh no, cause he is one of them.
Duh, now who didn't see that coming?
Entitlement programs, joke of the year. There are about to be more people on the system than can be supported, and that was Obama's plan all along. How do I know that? Cause no body could do so bad on accident. Leaders find a way to cross the room and negotiate a little give and take with the other side of the room. That is leading, but Obama dictates, and if you oppose him, he just whips out the ol pen and signs yet another executive order.
Well, ok, then what has happened so far, and what is about to happen in America is on Obama.
The man will go down in History as the President that further divided America, and collapsed the last world super power.

this is not a rational for Romney's loss. it is a way to pretend you are superior to your opponant event though he beat you soundly. it fits with Rush and talk radio's "poor us" we are so righteous, we must be victims of the evil lefty empire, mentaltiy. Funny that supposedly from the party of taking personal responsibility, Romney refuses to see that running a 1950s campaign in 2012 was a bad idea and that he was a horrible candidate with a badly run campaign and a vastly inferior ground game to his opponant.

No. The reason Romney lost is he and his crew were outplayed. But I have to say, it seems they really deserve it given their over the top reaction to the loss. Suck it up Right side, your sour grapes are hanging out for all to see.

Nobody likes a sore loser, Mitt. And no, that's not why you lost the election. You lost because you are a rich guy who was born rich and have no idea what it's like having to sweat the next month's rent or worry about how you're going to pay for groceries for you and your family. Get some cheese to go with that whine. You can afford it.

Among the "gifts" listed in the article,i didn't notice any that would be seen as gifts to blacks.
Forgiveness for college loans??? Thats not something traditionally targeted towards blacks.
Extension of healthcare coverage to include adult kids??? This could describe anyone within our population demographic.
Free contraception??? Again, this could be for ANYONE,not just blacks.
If romney wants to say that blacks voted for obama because of his race, then just say so but no one will believe that these "gifts" are targeted towards any ONE group or ethnicity.
I must also add that with the black unemployment rate DOUBLE that of whites (an INCREASE of 14.3% compared to a DECREASE of the white jobless rate of 7%),how could ANYONE assume that blacks received any "gifts' from obama????
If anything,WHITES got a "gift" in the form of a few more jobs.
I think this article is in REVERSE.

with your own statistics and it being fact that 97% of the black population of voters voted for Owebama, it only shows the ignorance and shameless racism of black americans.

@mbill935 So lets use the same scenario but a DIFFERENT black guy.
Lets say it was clarence thomas was running for pres...how many blacks would vote for him just because he's black???(here's a hint; not to many)
Black conservatives are eviscerated in the black community.
In this case, political ideology matters more than color.

Romney was very generous to the rich, promising massive tax cuts, does that count as pandering? Or is it only a problem if you plan to benefit the poor and minorities?
  • #30

It's only a problem if it benefits the poor and minorities. Also, corporate welfare is acceptable. Those are the rules of our Plutocracy, get used to it.

You lost Mitt for a variety of reasons, the least of which is, you are simply out of touch. Please fade away, never to return.

Demographics have shifted and progressives have been far more effective at pandering to minority voters. Those voters now make an impact.

I don't get the hispanics though. Obama lied to their faces and they still came out for him. At least 30% of them saw through that.
