Then you don't know any sane or bright people, because I know plenty of sane and bright people who voted for Obama. Maybe you just hang out with Republican Tea Party people in which case you certainly don't know any sane or bright people.

Oh, so now...if you're black, you have to "check-in" with this guy before you can vote in Maine? Or better yet...."Guess Who's Coming to Dinner"..Mr. Chairman...If you'd just open your eyes, and look to your right, and then to your left...Hey, you just might notice some black people, some hispanics, some young people, some women, some asians...But if all you ever look for is just other middle-aged white people...No wonder you don';t know any blacks....And, once again--No wonder you guys lost this election!

Shocking! Old white Republican guy blames loss on "dozens" of black people. And that was enough to carry Maine for the President?

@Politicskid Obama's grandfather served, his father was a foreign national hence not applicable, and Obama was about 8 during Viet Nam. No Romneys served ever as far as I can tell.

I agree generally with both being essentially clueless, but right now in the present tense, it seems the Right is more clueless than the Left. I remember the good ole days when the roles were reversed. And the result was R Reagan. It's been down hill ever since.

Of course their was voter fraud in this election.......In Philly there were 59 precincts that registered zero votes for Romney.....not one!......none!.......That smells fishy to me......

Then again they may just all have wised up about the Republicans. Don't worry. With enough time and more statements like this I am sure in future elections no votes for the republican candidate will be much more common.

I promise I am a republican-one repub doubts me-but anyways- I think the REpublican party needs to purge a lot of these thinkers out of the party. Just what he said sounded ignorant-no one in the neighborhood has seen a black family-so why did Obama win? What the heck is that about, I have white friends that voted for Obama, a sister in law-she would not put up an obama sign because she did not want her neighbors to know.

Maine voting registration information: 1. No deadline for registering to vote if done in person. 2. Physical address required, but hard to believe there is any way to verify this on election day. 3. Voter ID or unique ID number required unless you fill out box C (write none) which requires you to declare that you don't have either a Maine Driver's License (yeah they say Maine!) or a SS number. Maybe I'm missing something, but this seems like the people of Maine are either really stupid or intentionally corrupt.

This post-election hysteria is getting out of hand. So far we have 1 suicide, 1 attempted murder, some angry voters wanting to start their own country, and a half a dozen nitwit theories about why Republicans lost. Now we got a guy saying because HE personally doesn't know any black people, that voter fraud had to have occurred. Are you kidding me?

First of all, Mr. GOP Chair, you obviously live in a VERY confined world to not know any black people. I feel sorry for you, but by your own admission of living such a monochrome existence, I don't think you have the sophistication necessary to be an unbiased leader in a country as diverse as ours.

And to make such an admission demonstrates your ignorance. You, sir, are simply another clueless right-winger who seems to be caught in an Outer Limits episode where you can't move past 1958.

Honestly, it just proves that the GOP never considered the minority vote because they ignore them and insult them. They dont even make an effort so why should minorities vote for the GOP.

And they keep scratching their heads wondering why they lost. If you dont care about the minorities that live in the US, they wont vote for you. Simple as that.
