Why? That's how I dress and look all the time. He's just a normal American like the rest of us. That is except those liberals idiots...

BFD. He never claimed to be the Messiah. He pumps his own gas, has wind blown hair and his shirt looks wrinkled. Pretty typical dad to me.

Romney deserves the privacy and respect any one of us does. This sort of thing is just plain wrong. I didn't vote for him but I still respect him.

No. He did this himself anyway. And his wife. I feel bad the media is trying to make it into something.. Anything. What a waste of time and money when there is Benghazi and Israel and idk.. The economy??

Romney a "has-been"? He has more class than all the libs in DC and Hollywood combined. He doesn't have to pander to be successful...he already is! It's our loss that this good man is not our president-elect and we're stuck with the wannabe success. Winning an election doesn't make him a success, as we saw his first term, but what he does after the election.

I'm sure that even if he won he would still be pumping his own gas right now! This is a very stupid picture, and whoever made this a story, clearly has nothing better to report on. Romney is still a very rich man who doesn't need power! He can take care of himself! This story is so ridiculous! I don't know weather to laugh at it, or to be angered by it! This is not a news story!

The president cant pump his own gas.. he cant even carry a cell phone.. thats just how it is.. I never saw pictures of any POTUS pumping their own gas while still in office.. Secret service wouldnt allow it.. they shut down entire blocks when the POTUS arrives in your area .. it happens everytime one of them come to my state..

@Souljah If Romney were elected, he wouldn't be the POTUS, he would be the 2012 presidential elect. He would become POTUS on January 21st!

Slow news day or is this site turning into TMZ?
There is a lot (and I mean a lot) to criticize or mock Mitt for, but for looking a bit disheveled while going to a movie with his wife? Seriously? His relationship with his wife and kids is one of the few things I found endearing about the man.

i think the story was TRYING to be a point about how viral it went, not about the image itself. I'll give it to you that its a fail, but I'm not ashamed just mildly amused. lol

@Kptpredsfan They are going after a guy who lost an election. How is that even relevant? With everything else going in the world right now?
    This site sucks....

@Jasonopolis There are always a few stinkers in every batch of stories on here, I tend to skim over the ones that are fluff. Unless I can get a few laughs (mostly myself) out of posting on these, i just move on normally. But I do love this site! It's good fun to debate the issues

@Kptpredsfan It's OK. But it is very leftist. What fun is it for you liberals to debate a righty, when it's 10 against 1?
I've started chatting on my MENSA website and find the people are more even and not as divisive.
The example that I'll use (why it sucks to be a righty on here) is that when I post something that a liberal does not like, I get 8-10 replies and I do not have time to respond to all of them.

...Good grief my fingers get tired....

@Jasonopolis Hey Jason. If this site is 10:1 liberals:conservatives how do you explain the fact that all of the polls that they put up here come out in favor of the conservative position? Fact of the matter is that there are far more conservatives here than liberals.

If the republicans are looking for a star, then they need to find out who was doing Mitt's hair during the campaign. The force is strong with that one. ZING!

Because nobody else goes outside with their hair tossed, and without body-guards. He doesn't care. He's rich, full of millions, he doesn't need your sympathy; he and his wife are perfectly happy.

How do you know he and his wife are "perfectly happy"? Have you been living with them or something? No one knows whether people are truly happy or not, especially when they are in the public eye and are running for President. That "perfectly happy" didn't describe Anne's remarks while she was stumping for him, playing on people's sympathy and saying how hard it was.

She also said in an interview that if Mitt lost, he would never run again. Sounded pretty final and it didn't sound "happy".

I am having second thoughts about this. It seems to me that someone got pretty much up in Romney's face to snap this shot. I wouldn't like it if someone did that to me if I was pumping gas. Romney deserves some privacy even if I didn't vote for him.

@PNWest Fuzzy like a long shot with a telephoto lens or, more likely, a phone camera. He surrendered his privacy willingly.

@Dan_Tien It looks to me like a phone shot. Romney looks like he is looking directly at the photographer. If so the guy was only a few feet away from him. Could have been pretty scary having a stranger come up to you at night while pumping gas. As a presidential candidate he knows more than we do what kind of nuts are out there.

@PNWest I think he can afford private body guards if he wants them, even if he doesn't rate Secret Service agents now. Barack Obama would be dead meat if he tried to pump his own gas without a surrounding SWAT team.

@Dan_Tien He certainly has the $$$ to hire guards. He may need them. The secret service is scared sh*tless with all the legitimate threats they've had with Obama. Those guys have done a stellar job. I hope they continue to do so. There are far too many nutjobs out there and we sure don't need another national tragedy.
