They won't expect to deliver the payload of pain until 2100. However, they will collect taxes from you today. Al Gore is up to his usual hijinks.

I just don't understand why its such a problem to prepare for potential disasters? And also why this issue has taken on such a political posture? The scientist (without the politicians of the world) need to simply get together on this, and present the facts to the people. Then the leaders of the world need to act....accordingly, and leave the politics out of this...Why is this such a problem? I suppose if you don't believe in science then that's one thing. But then, if you dismiss these warnings, then you need to come up with the proof, and reasoning thereof...and stop just merely playing politics with this issue.

Yeah, it's all lies. I don't care what 99.9% of the entire science community claims, global warming is a hoax... GAWD will save us all.

    Climate Change?
Lets see, Today in Arizona in 1885 it was 74.50°F and Today in AZ 2012 73.70°F
Yep its 1* lower, in 127 yrs.
It would appear that this so called Climate Change is nothing more than a Liberals wet dream, See Liberals, Democrats, and Socialistic PIGS, always need to have an agenda. They must Over regulate and charge HIGH taxes on Buisness, They have to put people out of a job because of the enviroment, This is how they have been indoctrinated by the Radical Left, Leftists teach that Business Bad, Socialism Good.
Why hasnt this Chicago Radical Obama done more to get the Keystone pipeline and thousands of jobs? Because folks, He actually desires to have a bad economy.
Its a leftist goal, More people on Foodstamps, The faster we move to complete and utter socialism.
With Democrats this is already a packaged deal.

Oh, so as far as you're concerned....if you can't personally see it, then it doesn't exist...So, since you have not actually walked all around the world and came back to the same place that you started from---I suppose that you also believe that the world is flat...and you will fall off of Earth, if you walk too far in one direction...Oh that's good, real good reasoning.

Every month in 2012 has seen a record high average worldwide for that month. September 2012 was the hottest month ever recorded. So your managing to find a day that a desert town so no alteration is insufficient.
Your fantasy theory of a socialist intentional destruction of the economy fails on every level. I would try to help you see why but it is clear that you lack the intellectual facilities to comprehend.

I remember being young. It was nice. Thanks for crediting me as youthful.
As far as everything else you said goes no hard feelings here. I don't worry about being hated by people who actually don't believe in climate change. Hell most of them think the world started long after we have evidence of civilizations.

And so what? Regardless of the why, we should be preparing ourselves. Instead, many claim it does not exist. Extreme weather is more common on this planet than the comfortable little bubble we have had for the last umpteen thousand years. Politicizing Reality often ends up with a bigger chunk taken out of our butts than facing it.

@MRMacrum How should we prepare? I already have flashlights, batteries , plenty of food in the basement,
kerosene lamps, matches, firewood, blankets, water , first aid supplies, and guns...do I need more? Maybe a
    generator, thinking about it...

Anybody ever thing this is just the natural way of things? We are at the end of an Ice Age ....yes Ages are millenia long. The south pole was once tropical and the center of the US a sea. Things change ever so slowly but they change.

Of course, this would be more "leftist propaganda". Why wouldn't it be? Simply calling it leftist propaganda and washing your hands of the whole thing is exactly what a modern day Pontius Pilot would do. Easier than caring about your grand children's future. That might require some effort and working together with the Dem's to solve this problem and we all know only a traitor would budge one inch off of their far right rhetoric. Better to fry and to compromise. Right?

We have environmental issues to deal with for sure, but the amount of CO2 that is produced is not even among the top 10 as I am sure that the climate change "experts" will likely tout. Beware of any issue of concerning the environment that has become a matter of political contention.
We need to be more concerned with the increase in impermeable surfaces and the reduction in the water table.

These goofs don't know squat. They can't tell us what the "climate" will be next year let alone in 90. There's a term for people like this and guys like Algore, Snake Oil Salesmen.....

No I don't. I have news for you, we are screwed no matter what we do at this point. The best we can hope for is to minimize the disruption to the biosphere and human civilization. If you disapprove of global governance as a solution requiring all the world's economies taking action, what would be your solution? Nothing short of the combined efforts of all the world's economies will suffice to slow rising CO2 emissions and tropical deforestation.

@paperdragons81 Is God in control of the ground level ozone you breath when and where the air quality is poor? Is God in control of the mercury you ingest when eating a nice piece of salmon? Is God in control of the lead you breath in when leaded gasoline is burned as fuel.

Human activities are influencing one of the control knobs which nature uses to modulate our climate. I don't expect you to understand the science, but I do wish you would respect what scientists have discovered.

@Russell797 people pollute but government isn't the answer. If we give the government any more power there going to able telling us what to eat, where we can sleep how many kids we can have, who or what we can worship. This global problem is more a way for them to push for power , more regulations , more taxes, more of our freedoms lost. As for scientific facts, many of them are acually theory , if you look at what scientist beleaved were facts a hundred years ago, and then compared them to the scientific facts now, many have been proven wrong or changed. The same will be true 50 to a hundred years from now. I agree that we could do better, but I don't want the government to swoop in and say I coming to save you all you got to do is do whatever I say. Ill like to keep me freedoms I have left.

No, World Bank eh? Lol!! Wonder how much they have invested in green energy? It's been proven the climate cycles thru out history,(without any help from us)
Some suggest a slight warming could make whole continents like Greenland more habital to man.
I tend to think to brutal frigid cold we suffer in the winter is what we need to change!!( as if we could control the temp !!! Lol)

My problem with the whole climate change/global warming issue lies with fact that the technology used today was simply not available so long ago. Can they draw accurate conclusions for this issue on a global scale simply based on old records combined with modern machines? I have to question that. Regardless, I grow much of my own food, maintain a 440 gallon rain water collection system, can, dehydrate, preserve any way I can. Instead of relying on corporations and companies to provide me with chemically laden, salty, greasy, oily, preserved, processed food, I provide real food for myself. But for so many people, even the mere suggestion that they do something for themselves is met with utter resistance laced with fear.

I didn't know there was so much contention over whether there was climate change going on. I thought it was whether it's a natural occurence or caused by man. Ok, maybe I'm wrong, but are these weather phenomenens just my imagination or are they not getting worse? I've never seen such awful conditions from drought as we saw driving through Nebraska this year...then of course there's Sandy, and over the world so many weather related catastrophes. In previous years we in Florida suffered along with the whole Gulf Coast...then there are floods and now we're looking toward winter storms. If it's natural, there's nothing we can do about it other than prepare for the worst and hope for the best. The least we can do is be good stewards of our planet and quit abusing the land God gave us, like stripping the rain forests.

idiots do NOT realize that the climate is NOT a static thing. it is constantly changing. and there are more forces behind it than just us humans. the universe also has a big effect on our climate. as well as our own planet's actions like plate movement. be it with or with out quakes has a effect on it. this also includes crustal rebound like that happening on the northern section of the American plate. like around Lake Superior.
and to ignore the universe's effects. is acting like a flat earther. thinking that our planet is the only thing in our universe.

Nothing can be done with the exception of repentance, this is the result of a nation that has turned their back on God. It is only going to get worse, not just the weather but the economy. This country has become a cesspoll!

It is amazing to me that those on the right will believe that a poorly Photoshopped fake birth certificate posted on the internet by an anonymous jokester is credible but think that the evidence of global warming acquired by the many scientists that work in the field is somehow not trustworthy. Is global warming real? Probably. The evidence points that way. Is it known as a certainty - no. Common sense dictates that we take it seriously. Of course commonsense and today's conservatism don't coexist peacefully.

Scare tactics! The World Bank is in trouble with the bad economy and needs a "scary cause" to stir things up a little. They must be financing ole Al Gore's Carbon Credit scheme.
