Talk over November's presidential election is slowing as 2012 ends. But one question remains: what will happen to Stephen Colbert's untold $773,704.83 gained through his sadly-deceased Americans for a Better Tomorrow Tomorrow super-PAC?
Well, this week Colbert made a special announcement:
That's right: the First and Final Annual Charitable Donations by the Ham Rove Memorial Fund will be donating $125,000 each to Donors Choose, Team Rubicon, and Habitat For Humanity to help with their Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts. The Yellow Ribbon Fund, which supports injured military members, will receive $125,000 as well.
The remaining money will be split between the Center for Responsive Politics and the Campaign Legal Center, under the stipulation they rename their meeting spaces "The Colbert Super Pac Memorial Conference Room," and "The Ham Rove Memorial Conference Room," respectively.Via Colbert Nation
