I not only don't think that is true...But I will personally call for civility, and respect for Mr. Bush, and wish the best for his family in at this time. But please keep in mind, just who might be "lacking in civility with their nasty messages to Mr. Bush..." Apparently, at least some are republicans still angry at the former president for having to raise taxes, and or "cooperating with Democrats"...So looks like a great deal of that non-civility is coming from people on your side of the political spectrum....Now you can also take a moment, as I did, and ask for some restraint and civility from those on the right..

we are dealing with some pretty sick folks. hopefully they will be put on a watch list in case they try and shoot up a school or mall then in turn will say the gun made them do it.

Anyone wishing one of our former commanders in chief dies, is truly an assholism practitioner. Those are the low mentally experts who voted this past election and did not know why or for what.

Sorry folks, although a Dem, I am old school and not raised to be like that. If I had differences with the gentleman's policy, it begins and ends there. As a Man, Husband and Father, plus being a former President, he deserves respect of the highest order from me, you, and all. He displayed 'Class' and these tweeting a-holes display absolutely NONE.

Bush Senior actually handled the Gulf War 1.0 the right way. He took away Saddam's war making machine without destabilizing the entire area. We were able to bring our troops home and not worry about policing an entire nation. Dubyah should have taken notes.
  • #48
    !
Yea he handled it fine except for the lies he used to get the American People to support him. And the way the troops were treated when they came back sick and dying. And for the 5000+ innocent civilians killed. And the fact that he didn't finished the job and his son had to go back 10 yrs later to finish the job. Unless that was done on purpose?
  • #51
    !
@RealityOne If by "finish the job" you mean kill Saddam and destabilize the entire area, making way for our military to become one of the largest and most ridiculously used police forces in the history of our country, then yah. Good call.
Saddam was a horrible human being, I don't think anyone will dispute that, certainly not me, but he provided a stable regime (albeit an evil one) for the country. Now its a complete mess of a situation, with a pretend "Democracy" in place. More civilians are dying every day and continue to, and we lost more troops for no reason.
His son didn't need to "go back 10 yrs later to finish the job" because there wasn't a job to finish. The first time Iraq invaded another nation and was trying to impose its will via might, the second time there wasn't any such situation in place at all. We went to war on the fantasy of "WMD's" and metal tubes that were complete fabrications based on nothing more than a vendetta. The American people were used and lied to, and the feelings post 9/11 were used to garner support in Congress.

I think you are right. As a die-hard Liberal, I pray for the Former President. He was not my favorite president, but by all accounts was a warm human being. I have heard many stories about his kindness, many from Democrats. These tweeters are angry, misinformed people, who should be told by Federal Agents how inappropriate their actions are. Seriously, these folks are a mess.

Not saying one should tweet for death, but Bush did kill lots of innocents: Panama, for one, and as CIA director he did much of the same, covertly.
  • #180
    !
@PoliticalSpice I think it's safe to say that every president is responsible, at least in a philosophical way, for some number of deaths. It goes with the job.
  • #181
    !
@harold_lloyd perhaps, but philosophical involvement is not the same thing as invading a country that never attacked the u.s. and bringing death and destruction upon that country. Some things may happen in the course of being president that cause deaths that were not intentional, but the war in panama was not one of them, nor were those who died in covert sctions that he authorized as CIA director.

Well, unfortunatley, seeing as this site is censored by liberals, I wouldnt expect to see them call themselves out on anything. I just had a post removed because I dared say that the public schools arent doing thier job. They are, as far as KREMLINIX is concerned, pumping out good little socialist drones. Nothing but praise for the ruling elite is allowed here. Read this quick before it's removed.

I'm appalled at the death threats. The same sort of asshats that would do this also drag politics into it. Are the unprecedented number of threats to the sitting president also coming from "liberals"?

Civility is dying fast, accelerated by the followers of Alinsky's Rules for Radicals utilized by the far left.

Frankly, I have absolutely no respect for the president, Axelrod, Jarrett, Wright and the rest of that group; BUT I would never wish death on them.

If the president and his bosses had ANY class they would be publicly outraged, sadly I don't see any of them having the class to do so.

I'm a Democrat and African American, and I pray that he have a blessed speedy recovery! Anyone that would wish death not only on Daddy Bush but anybody are only cursing themselves. That's just straight out evil! We should really go back and take a look on how we're raising our children because it all starts in the home. And if you're any type of decent person, you would pray for him rather than wish him dead. Daddy Bush, I apologize to you and your family for all those mean and evil people that would wish a such a thing on you. Be bless and we wish you well!

@ConserveUSA You're so right! When I see the hate and killings going on in these other countries and those poor families being torn apart, I thank God every second to live and be born in the USA. I am a retired veteran and gave the government 26 years of my life, and I would never lower my standards hating on someone enough to wish them dead. Daddy Bush is a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and I am sure an uncle and father-in-law too, but his family loves him just like we love our own family. To rid and cut down on this hate we carry, we must start with ourselves and recognize the energy we send out. Whatever you send out from your body, soul, and spirit is exactly what's return to you. In other words, give what you want in return! Again conserveUSA, you be blessed and may you have an awesome and safe New Years! May God forever blessed you!

I'm not Democrat but I will say, it's not all Dems that feel this way. There are many moderate to conservative Dems with morals & Christian values. That small portion of politically uneducated , low-class, socialist-leftists are responsible. They are far more vulgar than any Party backers out there.

@ConserveUSA -Great point. Most of those pushing hard to maintain 'segregation' were Democrats . Sadly, very few people today take the time to educate themselves on such issues before spouting off on subjects unknown to them. Moronic reality shows , pro-sports & others continue the dumbing down of America - it's OK for entertainment , but has no bearing on your life . At least spend a few hours per week
looking up what your politicians are voting for & who it benefits .

Seems like a biased poll, there is no option to support.
Honestly, Bush is one on the most evil men alive right now. I don't wish him death, I think a long, lingering and painful illness would be more appropriate.

@AlexMIA Who I REALLY am? I am a US citizen who is registered to vote.
Bush is a eugenecist. It takes a little understanding of history but here you go- From George Bush: The Unauthorized Biography --- by Webster G. Tarpley & Anton Chaitkin:
Just days after (the Pope's) Humanae Vitae was issued (in 1968), Bush declared: "I have decided to give my vigorous support for population control in both the United States and the world." He also lashed out at the Pope. "For those of us who who feel so strongly on this issue, the recent enyclical was most discouraging."
Bush's and Schneebeli's amendments reflected the Malthusian- genocidalist views of Dr. Alan Guttmacher, then president of Planned Parenthood, and a protege of its founder, Margaret Sanger. Sanger had demanded the weeding out of the "unfit" and the "inferior races," and had campaigned vigorously for sterilization, infanticide and abortion, in the name of "race betterment."
Although Planned Parenthood was forced during the fascist era and immediately thereafter to tone down Sanger's racist rhetoric from "race betterment" to "family planning" for the benefit of the poor and blacks, the organization's basic goal of curbing the population growth rate among "undesirables" never really changed. Bush publicly asserted that he agreed "1,000 percent" with Planned Parenthood
During hearings on the Social Security amendments, Bush and witness Alan Guttmacher had the following colloquy: Bush: Is there any [opposition to Planned Parenthood] from any other organizations or groups, civil rights groups?
Guttmacher: We do have problems. We are in a sensitive area in regard particularly to the Negro. There are some elements in the Negro group that feel we are trying to keep down thenumbers. We are very sensitive to this. We have a community relations department headed by a most capable Negro social worker to try to handle that part of the problem. This does, of course, cause us a good bit of concern.
Bush: I appreciate that. For the record, I would like to say I am 1,000 percent in accord with the goals of your organization. I think perhaps more than any other type of organization you can do more in the field of poverty and mental health and everything else than any other group that I can think of. I commend you.
Guttmacher [to Bush]: May I use you as a public speaker?
Like his father before him, Bush supported Planned Parenthood at every opportunity. Time after time, he rose on the floor of the House to praise Planned Parenthood's work. In 1967, Bush called for "having the government agencies work even more closely with going private agencies such as Planned Parenthood." A year later, he urged those interested in "advancing the cause of family planning," to "call your local Planned Parenthood Center" to offer "help and support."
The Bush-Schneebeli amendments were aimed at reducing the number of children born to blacks and poor whites. The legislation required all welfare recipients, including mothers of young children, to seek work, and barred increases in federal aid to states where the proportion of dependent children on welfare increased."
The guy's father bankrolled Hitler. He used lies about babies killed in incubators to get into Iraq. His son used lies about WMD to get into Iraq. When you understand history it is easy to see how he and his family are evil.

These are the ass clowns who give the Democrats and Republicans a bad name. Maybe the secret service should find these ass clowns and remove them from the world so they will not be so stupid. Is anybody out their old enough to remember when something was said about a sitting or retired, President was threatened or death threats were taken seriously and something was done about it. What happened. This is not freedom of speech, this is a threat on a presidents life. Get the S.S. on thisand do their jobs.

I am a liberal and I really don't have much nice to say about Bush senior other than that he was much better president than his son. I am optimistic that this is not going to be the end for him and that he'll be around quite a bit longer. I sincerely hope so and I wish him and his family well. That being said I would like to comment on the people posting the hateful messages about him. You people are scum and I hope that some day you experience the kind of pain that you are causing by posting these revolting messages.
