I agree---It is absolutely unacceptable to still have so many vacant federal judge potions not filled----And this, going on the presidents second term in office....

When did it become ok for a Judge to render an opinion on anything other than the law?

Glad I am prejudice against all things democrat.

It never became ok, but that didn't prevent them from unconstitutionally deciding an election, did it?

    Where were your muskets then?

@Republican5001 But that is the question, why when the the constitution was so clearly violated was secession not on the table?

@PoliticalSpice because it says in the constitution states have the right to be apart of the union or not. Northern states were dividing the nation them, as it is now. Funny thing this time, slavery is not even an issue.

If this is the justice that supported Obamacare, then he is truly a stupid hypocritical man. He sits there talking about our fiscal cliff and debt and then voted yes for a huge Government program that will bankrupt us even faster. We must cut spending across the board until our debt starts retracting.

I agree with you, roberts should be out. All impeachments start in the house, get the repubs to put forward the resolution, i promise there will be lots of democratic support...

When you've got Scalia and Thomas (or their wives) accepting over Mil a yr from out side sources. Thomas' wife actually took money from health care sources to lobby her husband, I guess they can live within their means

Talk about wadteful spending, a millipn to thomas wife to get him to vote as he did. If they gave me fifety bucks, I could have told them he would do that.

It would be nice if the Congress-kinders would get their adult skills out of storage, as the Chief Justice suggests. Filling judicial seats would also be a nice bit of work to accomplish.

I'm still puzzled over Robert's shake and bake vote switch on Obamacare. Say, he is getting more media attention than that TINO phony Rubio.

So the idiot speaks. For someone soooo concerned for our tax dollars he sure didn't mind being the final vote to raise everyone's taxes when implimenting Bozo-care! Thanks alot for being soooo "conservative" with our tax dollars!!!

He did what was right. His job was to vote whether the job was constitutional, and yes it can be justified as a tax. He did not, however, by any means say it was good policy. I don't think it's right to attack him for it.

@Politicskid You tell me then, where in the constitution does the federal goverment have the inumerated power to mandate health care for all? I personally believe this was a republican plan that back fired, that was basically going to force the people to vote for a republican president. And boy did it back fire! I think him and the other occupants of the bench needs to spend their free time reading the Virgina Ratification Convention on the original meaning of the constitution, not what they think it means. They have stepped way beyond their inumerated powers and the compact that was originally and reluctantly agreed to by the states.

No legal system lives within their means. They live within OUR means. They steal from people daily using laws that are designed to nanny us into slavery.

I agree with all that the Chief Justice said---But I completely disagree that any part of his statement---represented any kind of "taunt" at all. I'm not sure how "politix" could have reached any such conclusion.

For too long the obstructionist GOP has refused to allow up or down votes on Obama's judicial nominees. Even GOP Chief Justice Roberts sees that this is just another instance of the GOP putting party above country.

You mean like the automatic filibuster against any Bush appointees to judicial spots that went on for years?
  • #20
    !
@KickBrass Why don't you come back and give me a count of how many filibusters the dems did in 8 years under GW Moron and compare it to the number that the GOP has done to Obama in less than 4 years.
  • #23
    !
@FollowTheMoney Check the numbers - the GOP has blocked more nominees and has done more filibusters on Obama in 4 years than the dems did with Bush in 8.
