Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones has led an effort to deport CNN host Piers Morgan for backing gun control in America. To Morgan's face on Monday's show, Jones accused the host of being a "hatchet man of the New World Order" and brought up 9/11 Truth theories, brandishing a fistful of documents, and mocked Morgans' British accent.
"We did it as a way to bring attention to the fact that we have all of these foreigners, and the Russian government, the official Chinese government - Mao said political power goes out of the barrel of a gun, he killed about 80 million people because he's the only guy who had the guns."
Jones added, "The Second Amendment isn't there for duck hunting. It's there to protect us from tyrannical government and street thugs."
Politico notes the reason Jones may have been so agitated. Jones refused to remove his shoes at the Austin-Bergstrom Airport in Texas while en route to New York City. According to InfoWars.com, the website Jones founded, the radio host refused to remove his shoes "innumerable other people had not removed their shoes."
Jones has long been on the fringes of mainstream debate. He has been the center of many controversies, and has accused the US government of being involved in the Oklahoma City bombing and September 11 attacks.
