He's completely right about it being there to protect us from tyrants, unfortunately he's only going to do more damage than good due to his past rep.
  • #7
Yes, Jones blew a chance at A meaningful, intelligent debate. Indeed, he DID do more damage than good. He made us pro Second Amendment supporters look like crazed lunatics. Jones would be scary with a gun in his hand raving on like that.
  • #25
@Keyjo The time for meaningful discussion is gone... it's time to defend our rights before we are left with no rights to defend!! Alex is right... you will never take our guns without a fight... and you better be carrying a gun when you come to get mine!!!!
  • #29
I legally carry every time I leave the house (except when I ride to the gym.)
But people who act like hotheads do nothing to preserve our rights. Anyone who carries should be rational. Jones acted the opposite.
  • #34
@Keyjo It's because of the hotheads that you even have rights!!! If there had not been hotheads that started the American Revolution... we'd still be subjects of the Crown.
  • #40

Please don't compare the founding fathers to Jones. The founding fathers were passionate but still intelligent and rational. Alex Jones at best rants and makes a few good points. Mostly it's just worldwide conspiracy bullshit with circumstantial evidence at best.

@armed_liberal Jones was right, the second amendment wasn't for duck hunters, it was for the people to protect their well being. too bad his quacker had a reed missing when he made the statement.
  • #152
    Editor in Chief,
Actually the 2d amendment is to arm militias. It's the first phrase of the 2d amendment. The US Supreme Court forgot to read that part.
  • #163
@Lbodine good lord what is it about all the stupid people out there? you can see an ever more oppressive government out of control, crazy lunatics running around, and your kind want the law abiding citizens to disarm and just be completely defensless against the insane and the tyrants, there has to be a zombie epocolipse goin on thats all i can figure out .
  • #184
@Lbodine The militia was made up of the able bodied men of the communities. During this time in America people were responsible for their own protection and the vast majority hunted for their food. I would be willing to bet that each and every home had at least one rifle, but more than likely several and pistols also. It was the norm for everyone to be armed and more than likely it would have been extremely unusual to find someone who was not armed!

Do you really think that after suffering what the signers of the Declaration of Independence called "absolute tyranny" at the hand of the King of Great Britain for so long and fighting and winning the war for independence from the crown that these men that put everything they owned and even their lives on the line would ever intend that the citizens NOT be armed in a way to prevent abuse of power? Perhaps you and others should read The Declaration of Independence as well as a refresher course in American history to get a better understanding of what was going on during this time in history which would give you a better idea of the context the 2nd Amendment and the whole Constitution were written under. This is one fact of the tyranny the signers from the Declaration of Independence gave against the King, "He has affected to render the military independent of and superior to civil power"! Civil power, we the people, this whole country was based upon the PEOPLE being the ones with the power! Government serves the people, the people have the God given rights and the government is to protect those rights, not take them away! The 10th amendment I think also applies and clears all this up. The right for the people to own and bear arms is nowhere PROHIBITED in the Constitution and I do not see where the government, federal or state, is given the power to deny the people the right!

To finish, you really need to open your eyes to what is going on in this country, what has been going on for years. Those that hold office have set themselves up as rulers. They pass laws that they "claim" do not apply to them. Look at insider trading, Social Security, Obamacare, to name just a few. Both parties are complicit and guilty! They do not serve the people anymore, they believe we serve them and they serve the UN, their own interests and even the global bankers. Now ask yourself this, WHY do they want to disarm law abiding citizens? If you think it is really to prevent mass shootings and lower crime, you sir are a fool. Look at Chicago for proof gun restrictions don't lower crime because the criminals will keep theirs! Also I suggest you do some real research on the shootings that are prompting this newest attack against our rights. Everyday more and more evidence is coming out that points to a false flag op. While I don't expect you or others that are inclined to believe Main Stream Media (MSM) to believe something that MSM is NOT reporting, I would think that all that an intelligent person after seeing and hearing some of these things would at least start to see that some things just don't add up & more questions need to be asked.

Alex showed not only his anger against these treasonous tyrants, but showed the anger that's in the hearts and minds of millions of patriots!!!

Yes, he did go kinda over board, but I can see how it would be easy to loose your temper while dealing with a foreign anti-Constitution/Bill of rights invader like Peirs Morgan!!!
  • #3
Piers Morgan is a British hack who hates the USA. All he does is rail on what our country is. If he hates being here, then he should find some others place to live.

The arrogance of anyone moving to a foreign land and spending their time there talking about how the new place needs to be like the old one. Any other place would disinvited us.

And they used to call us Ugly Americans.
  • #5
That's not true. Morgan doesn't hate the U.S.
And an American in England would enjoy the same free speech rights as a British subject.
  • #27
@Keyjo Is he a U.S. citizen. Sorry he is not. He sucks as a talk show host. He does not have right to talk about the. conatitiution.
  • #31
Sure he does. He may not be a citizen, but he has a visa to be and work in this country. And as such, he has the right to voice an opionion. We must defend the first amendment as vigorously as the second, and every component of the U.S. Constitution. If we can't do that, our point is moot
  • #38
At this time I will point out that like Mr. Jones and yourself it is the call to expel foreigners from the soil of the homeland to defend it in the name of patriotism that has led to some of the bloodiest moments in our history on this planet. The persecution of immigrants is itself a form of tyranny. In fact, it's very often the percursor to some of the greatest atrocities ever committed by man. But why should we be worried about a man who believes he needs a gun to defend himself from a tyrannical government and dirty immigrants. Oh wait, I think you can find the answer in the question itself.
Jones is quick to throw around the new world order tool moniker. From where I stand, it seems it fits him nicely himself.
  • #47
@frigginhell I would ask that you not put words in my mouth. I didn't call for him to be expelled. I said he is arrogant and should leave. I don't want foreigners to be expelled. I want people who don't want to be here to leave. Big difference.

Honestly I think alex was just speaking from his heart, & is fed up with all the bs that our government spins, & the media exploits, its a very sick game they play
  • #15
Piers has not let anyone talk in any of the previous debates. If Alex had not kicked his balls in, he would have been interrupted just like everyone else has been in previous debates. Did you see how Piers spoke to Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America? Larry Pratt tried what you are suggesting, by being polite and employing intelligent debating skills and he got called an incredibly stupid man and interupted by this lymey bastard. This was the only way to deal with the tactics that Morgan used.
  • #8
Alex Jones is obviously right. What gun control zealots want Americans to believe is that the Founders crafted the 2nd Amendment solely so we, The People, could hunt and target practice. Nothing could be further from the truth. The founders distrusted strong, centralized governments. The 2nd Amendment was the "Doomsday Weapon" in case what happened in Egypt recently with President Morsi would happen here. See for actual US Department of Justice Reports that refute the garbage that anti-gunners are putting out in D.C. and elsewhere.
  • #6
Alex Jones is a raving lunatic that believes in every conspiracy theory in existence which puts him in a great position to get the Tea Party low intelligence crowd to listen to him. Piers Morgan is an unjustified arrogant blowhard but he wiped the floor with Crazy Mcmoron in that video but of course anyone with an IQ over 95 could have done the same.
  • #164
Alex Jones said what many wish they had the courage to say in public. For that I give him my (THANKS). As for those that think he looked like a lunatic, perhaps that has to do with the jokers on the left, and the clowns on the right, and he is stuck in the middle.
What I got from this is that he is passionate about the gun control issue.
The more concern we have, the more we are willing to go, where others won't go,to influence the out come. He pushed himself beyond, not his control, but beyond your control. He knows what he is doing. He could make a lot of money being a news reporter. Lol
  • #128
Dear Alex: Guns don't kill people but excessive amounts of meth can. Please consider cutting down on the unprescribed stimulants and/or go back to taking your meds as prescribed.
  • #64
Obama is after the guns. Hopefully the House can stop the Liberals from passing laws that neuter the second amendment, but if not they will only succeed in turning millions of law abiding people into criminals. No way gun owners will turn in their guns.
  • #139
Good grief . . . (facepalm, smh). President Obama is not planning to confiscate any existing guns, just to reinstate a previous ban on assault rifles and high-capacity magazines. No one is going to be asked to turn in their weapons. Ease down, and maybe switch to decaf.
  • #158
@Denizen_Kate You are deluded if you think that they will stop at assault rifles and high capacity magazines. This is all out war against the second amendment, something the liberals have been after for a long time. Obama is never one to waste a good crisis - remember when he said that before. The liberal nutjobs are going to go after this one with all they have got. The good people of this country need to be ready.
  • #159
@Grubby - Well, one of us is certainly deluded. Seriously, "all out war"? Hyperbole. Look it up. And while you're at it, do a little more research - Obama isn't the one who made that crack about never letting a crisis go to waste.
  • #57
I agree with Jones' point but not his method. His tirade will not win supporters and will only serve to further convince gun control advocates that gun owners are violent and angry people incapable of civil discourse.
  • #52
Morgan knew exactly what he was doing when he brought that dude on the show. He wanted to present gun supporters as nuts in their thinking and that is what he put on the screen. Nicely choreographed, Piers. Now, let's see you bring someone that is truly representative of American gun owners and let them speak without trying to shout 'em down.
    Yeah, like that's gonna happen.
  • #44
Unfortunately, neither man seems to live in the real world. Morgan thinks you can slow the rampaging djinni with feel-good roadblocks. The nuttier Jones, however, stupidly believes that his collection of peashooters will in any way stop a modern tyrannical state from carpet-bombing him into oblivion. Give it a rest, guys.
  • #53
I don't guess you know how Vietnam turned out or how the middle east has been. Small arms can do a lot against a military if you know how to engage them.
  • #59
@WilliamWallace Vietnam was the start of the "PR" skirmishes (and the Middle East is merely a continuation), where you've gotta do something, but you don't want the world to see you as megalomaniacal. With six hundred (600) guys storming your house (BIG difference from a jungle setting), you might get lucky and plug four (4), but you're still dead by day's end. As previously mentioned by others posting, the state placates you with the 2nd Amendment, as they only want the populace toiling away, making it more money for it to spend on the genuine weapons that keep the rabble off its shores.
  • #62
@twinertia You might want to research some military tactics because what you describe would be suicide. There are ways to win. Its all about tactics.

I guess our own government bombing us would make them look really good to the rest of the world. After all would any of the left be happy with the indiscriminate killing that bombs would cause?
  • #72
@WilliamWallace Tell me all about it as a few Sidewinder missiles take out your kitchen cabinetry.

Our own government bombing us would make the state look silly to the rest of the world, ripe for the taking (which is why it's never gonna happen). It's all about looking "moral" while keeping the loot flowing.

My Canadian citizenship should be here soon. I'm preparing myself for when the you know what hits the fan and I have to get out of Dodge City. This man Jones has clearly lost his mind. I sure don't want to meet him in a dark alley. He seems awfully angry about guns that no one is trying to take away or ever could.
  • #55
    @WilliamWallace -Um, what?
Not agreeing with Jones the nutjob=not loving ones country?
  • #60
@Mogal let me spell it out for you. I was referring to the first part of the post.

"My Canadian citizenship should be here soon. I'm preparing myself for when the you know what hits the fan and I have to get out of Dodge City."

@WilliamWallace -Have a hard time recognizing a satirical comment when you see it, huh?

Our government has tanks, missiles, fighter jets, bombs, and both chemical and biological weapons. I don't think the tyrants are all that afraid of Joe's rifle, but they'll let him and his buddies keep them so they are pacified. Point is, I have guns but not to protect me from a government that can wipe me out in one fell swoop if they wish. Dream on about that protection.

    One Warriors Creed

If today is to be THE DAY, so be it.

If you seek to do battle with me this day you will receive the best that I am capable of giving.

It may not be enough, but it will be everything that I have to give and it will be impressive for I have constantly prepared myself for this day.

I have trained, drilled and rehearsed my actions so that I might have the best chance of defeating you.

I have kept myself in peak physical condition, schooled myself in the martial skills and have become proficient in the application of combat tactics.

You may defeat me, but you will pay a severe price and will be lucky to escape with your life.

You may kill me, but I am willing to die if necessary.

I do not fear Death, for I have been close enough to it on enough occasions that it no longer concerns me.

But I do fear the loss of my Honor and would rather die fighting than to have it said that I was without Courage.

So I WILL FIGHT YOU, no matter how insurmountable it may seem, and to the death if need be, in order that it may never be said of me that I was not a Warrior.

    Steven R. Watt

@WilliamWallace I understand your position and I understand the reason for the 2nd Amendment. I understand that you are in law enforcement and I do not direct my following statements at you.

I do not think that everyone who declares themselves a warrior and a patriot really is one. I question a man who never served his country in the military or never served his country in law enforcement when he says that he needs to own any weapon available in order to defend his country from tyranny. I think that many people who front like that are simply cowards who are afraid to die and are willing to shoot anyone who threatens to take away their security blanket.

The 1st Amendment guarantees the right to freedom of speech, but it does not give anyone the right to make death threats. The 2nd Amendment grants citizens the right to keep and bear arms in order to defend themselves and to be able to act as citizen soldiers if need be, but it does not grant anyone the right to use deadly force to retain those weapons against legal authorities who are carrying out their legal duties. A firearm is only an inanimate object, and few places in the United States legally grant a citizen the right to use deadly force to retain possession of their belongings. If our government decides that certain weapons should not be available to the general public, and that decision is found to be constitutional, then anyone who uses deadly force to defy that order is not a patriot, they are a criminal.

If a person is determined to be a threat to themselves or others, they can be declared mentally ill and committed against their will. I question whether anyone who rants with such "passion" about firearms as the man in that video does and threatens to use deadly force to retain all of his weapons is mentally stable.

I also am not afraid to die. I have seen too much and lived long enough. If I was told by an officer of the law that a weapon that I owned was illegal, I would surrender it, not because I would be afraid but because it would be the right thing to do. I value the law and civilized society. I do not need a semi-automatic rifle to feel safe and secure. I certainly would not want to get into a gun battle with law enforcement to retain possession of one.

There is no firearm available in gun shops or gun shows that will allow you to successfully defeat an army that is equipped with modern military hardware. That is the point of armored vehicles, aircraft, bombs and missiles: to outgun poorly equipped and poorly organized groups of armed individuals. I am not convinced by the repeated argument that every citizen who can own a gun is doing so in order to defend themselves from a tyrannical government or one world order conspiracy. A nut with a gun is still a nut.
  • #43
@Dan_Tien True there are very few warriors but it has always been that way. Just know there are people who will stand up for their rights.

    Just remember...

“Out of every hundred men, ten shouldn’t be there, eighty are are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back.”
    -attributed to Heraclitus
  • #71
I respect the law and respect civilized society, though I realize both can be weapons in the hands of a predator with position.
I understand you choose to take a position at odds with the recorded words of those who crafted our country. Persons who both stood in rebellion and put down rebellions in turn and still spoke them.

Any group that is blinded by the glory and perfection of their position/beliefs will generate anger and simply be to blind to see. Currently there are to many who make a virtue of blindness of the cares of others. You speak calmly and with great persuasiveness but are you really seeing what matters to others.

Alex Jones is a BIT "high strung" but I agree with him 100% The "global Community" a word I hate!! Would love nothing better than to disarm every American, and Obama being a globalist himself wants exactly the same thing. Myself, I am an American and a country girl and I want to keep it that way!! In 4 years I feel we have lost our country and I hate it, and I feel that much more is closing in too fast almost to the point of where we need to do something about it, just don't know what or how.
