Let me get this straight. Congressman Stockman promises to impeach the president for doing what the Constitution says he has the power to do?

@Cheenoguy I think you hit the nail on the head, speaking of head, at least he is basing this on the constitution, instead of other, under the table activities...

Well it does give the House of Reps something to do instead of actually working on the business of the country. I mean look how much time they wasted with Clinton?

@jessejaymes Just look how they wasted this morning - reading the constitution out loud for the cameras. It is amazing to me that so many of the right wingers buy into this transparent bullsh%t. George W. Moron was briefed about bin Laden planning on attacking America at least 28 times and did nothing, think these guys wanted to impeach him for failing to protect America? Not bloody likely. Then Bush went to war in Iraq based on totally bogus information and these guys were totally OK with it. Exactly how many executive orders did Bush issue? Think Boehner had a problem with any of them - nope. Why do republicans hate America?

@PNWest you make an important point. It's seems to the case that radical executive orders that violate the constitution are perfectly okay; as long as the president issuing those orders has an R or a D next to their name.

Transparency has a been a joke with both presidents. We need to start holding these guys accountable, but when liberals are just as likely to look the other way as conservatives when their guy is in office, we have an epidemic of political hypocrisy that is rampant.

Either violating the constitution is wrong or it is not. There are no exceptions.

When these "Executive Orders" come out, then we will be able to see if there are grounds for impeachment.... IF the wording of any of these violates the basic second amendement....then yes the American people should demand action be taken.... Remember all my liberal friends, a gun has never killed a person on its own... Someone must pull the trigger, hence it goes back to personal responsibility!!! When will any of you stand up for personal responsibility????

Amen for people like Steve Stockman. Sometimes I forget that there are others out there that love this country too. The last election would make a lot of people forget that. It's good to know that at least some of our congressmen and women know the Constitution.

All this wing nut loves is free publicity that will make him look good to the voters in a conservative texas district. This has zero chance of getting obama removed from office, especially since the orders haven't been released yet. This giy is just a publicity hound. No need to argue this out. Lets wait and see. I'll bet you your AR-15 i am right that house never impeached obama for this.

@PoliticalSpice - I wouldn't take that bet. Do I seem crazy? The House could have impeached obama over numerous things including the illegal bombing of Libya, yet the Congress back away from any such notion. I doubt the Congress would be any more aggressive now than they were then.

Ya know, two times in two weeks Obama has refused to work with congress after making a reelection speech promising to reach across the isle, but i cannot help but feel he has an agenda for true dictatorship on any issue. I have always believed he is a devout Muslim, not because of his name but because of his actions while serving as POTUS. What has he done for the true working American? And now he is trying to ad more debt without working with our elected representatives, and trying to mandate gun control without our elected representatives. This alone should wake up Americans as to what he is trying to do. Do you remember his first executive order, only three days in office? It wasn't to better American lives. It was to close Gitmo and release terrorist! And then he has single handedly released millions of dollars into Muslim based countries. How much more does he have to do till this country realizes he is America's number one terrorist? He is bankrupting us, making us take a health care plan many can't afford, and that Czars decide who gets treatment and who doesn't. He wants to add more spending with no cutbacks. He wants your guns-this step is just a small step to get the wheel rolling. But most of all he wants you to pay more taxes on your earnings, gas, guns, and anything else you can earn a dollar on. It's the socialist way. He needs to quit blaming the republicans. They are representing the people-he's not!

If the Preezy has got away with all of the other illegal things he has pulled over the last 4 years, I don't think this will rank as a major offense. As long as the low information voter's and the media keep following this guy like the sheep they are, the thug-in-chief will be able do anything he wants. Let's watch as America crumbles into the ash heap of history.

Damn WRONG, they CAN'T. Since previous administrations also created such orders, a precedent certainly exists. You can't impeach on an opinion; at the very least, the SCOTUS would have to review the order and declare it unconstitutional.

@cpeter133 they have the power to impeach the second he uses his executive powers that violates the constition. This isnt the same congress

This line of thought is absolutely ridiculous! Impeachment REALLY!! Everybody calm down. Stop scaring the hell out of all the gun-nuts and wait for the President to do something, before we think that he's going to do something drastic.

@PoliticalSpice You know I always seem to get that wrong. Let me fix it............You liberal Marxist socialist Communist leftist...... Obama is a Scientologist... He is going to make Tom Cruise his vice president After he takes our guns.

@PoliticalSpice I wouldn't doubt it with this administration! What did I say? They want to waste the time and resources on nothing, let them!

@AlexMIA it's got nothing to do with this administration, except in your mind. I'm telling you a fact about how they operate. If you really want proof just call em up and start your rant about how obama should finish out his term like kennedy and see what happens. Next post you make will be from a mental hospital. They have the power, the legal authorization and they use it. I'm just trying to give you a warning, if you take it the wrong way that is on you. Plenty of people have made that mistake. They do not have a sense of humor.

Anyone who would rather let children die then take steps to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people is not deserving of children or freedom.

@Cheenoguy Then address the real problem....the mental health problem but congress and President Hussein Obama will not do that....
  • #15
    !
    @Knightmare
Actually he has but you people have fought him every step of the way. You know what will help people get access to mental help? Access to healthcare. You know what is going to help people get access to healthcare? Obamacare.
I assume you now support it.

In the real world there can be multiple causes of a problem. A gun environment that most closely resembles Yemen is part of the problem.

Hmmm...he covered up Fast and Furious, then tried to blame it on GW Bush. He is covering up Benghazi. He has taken adavantage of his "Executive Powers." His REAL FATHER was a communist. And he falsified his birth certificate. Impeachment??? Heck, let's really stand up to him, I say we go for TREASON!!!!
  • #177

Hmmmm....he covered Eric Holder for letting thousands of guns go into the Mexican Cartels' hands, then tried to blame it on G.W. Bush. And now he is trying to restrict the rights of law-abiding Americans. We still don't know the truth about Benghazi. And the mans REAL FATHER was a communist. He has a falsified birth certificate. Yeah, impeachment would be easy if more of the American People and Congress would stand up to this Administration...heck, we could even shoot for TREASON!
