@PNWest buddist don't pray. But muslims do 5 times daily. Wonder how many kids would convert just cause they would rather pray then do algebra or read poetry?

Yea, get footage, you'll be able to make money selling it to tv stations, as well whoever runs against him next time. Remember that tea party gal who ran ads saying "i'm not a witch" he'll need her to endorse him...

Absolutely. There you have it. You let one religion in, according to the Constitution you have to let them all in. Coming soon to a school near you. Moonies, Scientologists, Wiccans, Buddists, Muslims, Snake handling Pentecostals , People knocking on classroom doors with Lighthouse mags saying "have you read the word of God today?", The Movement for the Restoration of the Ten Commandments of God, The Westboro Baptist Church, The Raelian Church of UFO's, The Manson Family, The Church of Bible Understanding, Aum Shinrikyo, The Order of the Solar Temple, Heaven's Gate, Branch Davidians and Ali Baba and the 40 thieves. Well done right wingers. You have just started the most ignorant, stupid, religious war of all time. Can Jim Bakker and Jimmy Swaggart be far behind?

I have not problem with complete and total freedom....rather than restricting freedom....we're so backa**wards about freedom and the constitution these days....

The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government."

@Neo_NtheMatrix Neo no matter what you think the Constitution makes it clear that if you allow one you have to allow them all.

@Knightmare so you don't mind every religion praying before a football game? You better start the day before the game.

@Neo_NtheMatrix It is God Jesus Holy Spirit's ministry to change peoples hearts....it is not up to us to ban them from expressing their religion....if we do that they can restrict us....I personally know that God can reach them through those that He uses....if we're willing not fight them carnally but spiritually....

As long as those satanists aren't teachers leading students in prayer, then no constitutional problem. Don't make me repeat the first amendment again. Why not chisel on the 3rd for a change.
  • #17
    !
Please repeat it because as far as I know teacher's aren't congress....
It says congress shall make no law for or against religion....that means lawmakers MUST stay out of it....it restricts lawmakers from infringing on the peoples expression of religion, wherever that may be....didn't realize a teacher was a lawmaker and part of congress....

Well if teachers are permitted to lead prayers then they can not prevent statanist from doing the same. Precisely why religion should bd kept out of public schools. I think the bigger issue here is satanist student groups. Christian conservatives have been pushing so hard to let religion into schools, this is the result.

@PoliticalSpice Fine by me....it is their freedom of religion and freedom of conscience and freedom of expression....why would any christian be afraid of that? Of whom shall we fear?

Do you even think before posting? Al Qaeda is pretty much as far from "liberal secular" as you can possibly get. Like you they are weak minded people who want to force their mythology on others.
You are either a troll or have a 2nd grade education and I don't think you live under a bridge.

If given the true words of GOD ALMIGHTY in schools, satan has no chance at taking over. Sure some will say that they dont believe in GOD but if they bllieve in satan then they DO BELIEVE IN GOD since GOD created satan.

There is no heaven, there is no hell. You have to get beyond this. Zeus did not exist. Neither does your God.

This bill is allowing for both to pray. But it's not sensational to report on a Christian group saying their happy for this bill but it is sensational to report on Satanist saying they're happy for it.

Prayer should be kept out of school. Satanists or otherwise.

But thanks for using the Bat Boy lookalike photo of my least favorite governor.

Why do theses fools demand that others listen to their god worship? Its simple people you go up to the microphone and say "and now a 30 second silence for human reflection"
Thats it, no one is offended...no one is left out.....all are served....

Its not the actual praise and worship of the god these people are consumed with it’s the public visual and social standing it seems to project. Its more important for others to appear god like, meek, gentle and mild that it is to actual be these things in real life. The same people who pray the loudest and cry the most end up cursing the referee out during the game…….its a sham.

The problem is the arrogant boisterous (mostly christaians) that feel/are guilt ridden thats its their responsibility and duty to evangelize and to be doing "works" for their god. And well hell when you got 400+ people trapped in the stands....well what a great time to do it!!!!!!

    Praise jeebus.
