perhaps the Alabama board of education should look at recent polls about our societies views of homosexuality...catch up, rednecks!
  • #9
    !
I did NOT mean to vote you up. Just so you know. Perhaps those rednecks find it disgusting, perverted behavior. They are entitled to their opinion, just as you are entitled to yours. Why the slurs?
  • #14
    !
@OhWiseOne i don't ever look at the 'vote ups' or whatever they are, no worries.

the slurs are for the baqckwards thinking rednecks that believe such bigoted prejudicial things. a well deserved slur. history will give them a better name.
  • #19
    !
@OhWiseOne - Sure, they're entitled to their opinion, but they are not entitled to enforce unconstitutional laws against any minority, regardless of their opinion of that minority. I am also entitled to my opinion, and in my opinion they are ignorant, hateful asshats.

@OhWiseOne I live in the south. Most around here are so busy "doing" each other that they don't even bother to find out if they're related. And we talk about "disgusting, perverted behavior." Yeppers!

omg I have to laugh at most of you idiots who know nothing about Alabama. You Libs make me sick. Alabama has the highst percentage of PhD's in the country. Every hear of Redstone Arsenal? NASA? Space Camp? Von Braun? I didn't think so. I lived in Bama for over 13 years and was amazed at the technological breakthroughs, patents, scientific discoveries and military advancements that were made in this "backward, hillbilly, 1 toothed, redneck state. All states have stupid archaic laws still on the books. And yes most of us in the other 49 states think homosexuality is wrong.
  • #126
    !
Um, New Mexico has the highest number of PhDs per capita.
And rest assured, the people that are making those discoveries, etc, are NOT natives of Alabama, which is ranked 45th in education in the US.
Oh, and you're also wrong in assuming that the majority of the country thinks as you do.
According to Pew, only half of the country agrees with you.

@ST_Louie_Sue My father passed away in 1979, he was from STL, but yes, he was a pharmacist and owned Key Rexall Drugs in Sainte Genevieve.
How on earth did you deduce that from my posts?

Hatred was alive and well in Obama's church that he attended for 20 years. Funny how the left completely ignores that fact.

@OhWiseOne Of course, this has nothing to do with the subject matter of the thread.
Do me a favor and dont post your ridiculous rants on my comments, ok?
  • #31

@OhWiseOne I'm surprised that Alabama hasn't outlawed Driver's Education in an effort to cut down on traffic fatalities.

Keep an eye on' Bama: they just re-elected Judge Roy Moore to their Supreme Court. Hilarity will ensue.

Hey- here is an idea for those of you who cry about big government taking away your freedom and then say its perfectly fine for state governments to tell us who we can and cannot have sex with...because hey, your not gay so what do you give a lick? There are a lot of people who want stricter gun laws and while I'm not a gun enthusiast I respect law abiding citizens right to have them. And while I'm not gay I respect others rights to be gay. See how it works? If we would all stay the F out of each others business as long as no one is hurting anyone, then the world would be a better place.

I hate Bama. With a passion. More correctly, I hate Nick Saban. If only he'd taken the high road once upon a time in an interview, but he went with a douchetastic comment, firmly cementing his douchebag tag.

HMM....a law that's been on the books since 2003 and unenforceable! And they still teach it as if it's a crime! Hey Obama, please reconsider the succession petition of Alabama's.....we can do with 49 states!
  • #13
    !
Absolutely not. Shame on you. What were you thinking? If you let Alabama go you have to let Mississippi, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Tennessee, Kentucky, The Carolinas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Missour, W. Virginia, The Dakota's, Wyoming, Montana, Utah and Idaho go. You're not getting away with just kicking out one parasite state. One goes they all go.

    !
@jessejaymes so we're down to 29 states then. And, I'm gonna have to move! Somewhere warm....please. Maybe Arizona along the Colorado river? And I can keep my guns. Ok, I'm fine with that!
  • #22
    !
@stepped_in_it LOL Arizona is definitely going to let you keep your guns. That state has some crackpot ideas but they also have the right idea about immigration and personal freedoms. I have friends in several cities in Arizona. Pretty liberal friends and they don't have any problems. Get kinda cold winter nights but as long as you stay out of the mountains the days are nice in the winter. Bake in the summer.
  • #27
    !
@stepped_in_it Just think how much more manageable this country would be without the bible belt? We'd have much more money because we don't have to support those states. We'd have high speed rail, people who didn't marry their cousins, no religious fanatics (we made them all move to the new confederacy as a trade for you.) 29 states works for me. 20 would work better but I can live with 29

    !
@stepped_in_it - "Maybe Arizona along the Colorado river?" That ain't warm, buddy. That's HOT. My mother and one brother live in Lake Havasu City. There are nights during the summer where the temp stays in the triple digits. At night!

Come on now people. Did you really expect anything different from the state that banned vibrators?(state trooper) "You carrying any illegal drugs in the car? Any guns, weapons I should know about? Got a vibrator?"
  • #248
    !
Leave it to Alabama. haha. At first i was actually a bit shocked, then i took a moment and honestly thought to myself.. yeah.. so i am not really shocked.
I mean heck look at Arkansas, you can still marry your 3rd cousin i believe. i will have to look it up. But seriously, lets get this bill passed so these children can know the truth.:D wooo.

They knew what they were voting for. The issue here is why ANY state mandated judgement on sexual practice should be taxpayer funded.

Oh how I love this country, which cares more about my genitals, my preference of genitals, my skin color, my age, and my political affiliations more than it cares about my accomplishments.

This is a law that should remain on the books not only in Alabama but should be law in all 50 states. Fags have no place in society! We have turned away from god that's why our country is in decline.
