Lol, Obama is 'hiding something', but when the last administration was full of oil guys, natural gas guys, and haliburton guys these same people NEVER questioned why we would choose to go to war w/ a country we don't care about and then put bases near or on oil and natural gas fields. They were criminals using the govt as their own personal military and atm, and didn't even try to hide it... but Obama is the one 'hiding something'... give me a break.

Why not try to live in the present? Nothing can change what has already happened. But, we can still clean house with this administration.

The point is, the Republicans were were silent when there was a truly criminal administration in the White House. The Right only cares that there is one of their own in the Oval Office, they don't care about integrity.

I surely don't disagree the past administration was corrupt . But that was the past and they were born on US soil and have the right to run for office. But Saddam Hussein Obama has no proof he was born here and is only a puppet for George Soros slowly but surely crippling our country

Liberals want to piss off America. Me? I just want a united America, an America where nobody is pissed. I want a place where we all work together to accomplish the same goals. This country used to stand for low taxes, modest regulations, individual freedom, and personal accountability -- with a healthy dose of Christianity sprinkled into the mix. Now it's all about this group or that group, and catering a set of lies to keep this special interest in check and that special interest continuing to vote for you.

When will you liberals get over it? Yes, there are white people in the world. They work, they pay taxes, and they contribute to this country. Enough trying purposefully to piss them off!

@Neo_NtheMatrix I didn't mean to piss you off. I was just poking fun at those who refuse to believe that Obama was born in this country. I'm all in favor of old white guys - I am one!

I think he's being a typical politician and not doing the work of the people. Just like both parties. You don't get to be President and have a billion dollars for re-election or even get your party's nomination without being bought and paid for. Both parties are corrupt to the core. Re-elect NOBODY 2014

Early in Obama's first term when he was proposing the stimulus spending I did read something about the republicans being upset by the size of his package.

Nothing too critical . I say the top 4 , plus , his college records , who payed his tuition , room & board thru 3 colleges , Annenburg , his long , long list of associates linked to either domestic terrorism , communism or other anti -American activities , Rezko , his racist Pastor of 20 years, his 'uncle' Frank Marshall Davis, his involvement as a Senator in Kenyan politics involving his cousin & sharia law elections & last but not least - was Larry Sinclair really an extra close friend ? Other than that , barry hussein is just a really, swell guy for a marxist loving, mooslem dude that wants to bring America to it's knees.

Again, no proper choice for moderates. How about "Sure. Aren't all politicians hiding something?"

"However, among Republicans, those with more political awareness were more likely to believe in Obama's dark secret." BS meter in the red here. Republicans with more political awareness don't necessarily believe Obama has a dark secret, but they certainly know how to get many of the rest of us to believe it. There IS a difference.

@Neo_NtheMatrix - You WANT to believe the worst of Obama, therefore no evidence is required, and any evidence to the contrary, you consider it "spin."

Gee, why in the world would anyone think that?! I can't imagine why...then again, just maybe the people he has surrounded himself with, like Bill Ayers, Raum Emmanuel, Axelrod, Jeremiah Wright, not to mention his idol Saul Alinsky...and
all the rest of the Chicago Political Machine... Maybe that's why.???

A couple of factors at play, here, I think.

First, Republicans got pretty cozy with a general grip on the country during the last Bush administration. They did a lot of ill-conceived things like Medicare D and, of course, two wars that were kept off the books. It's hard to lose power, but especially the amount of power Republicans and neocons were accustomed to. This dismay over defeat was amplified when the nation elected the first black man to the White House. There will certainly be those that disagree with me, but I think the intensely racist reaction of the deep South Red states hasn't subsided and in fact has infected wide swaths of the GOP outside the South.

Faced with such a dramatic reversal, many conservatives sought reasons for their losses that did not implicate their party or their recent excesses. Hence the birther nonsense, which continues today.

Second, to the chagrin of many on the right, this has been one of the cleanest Administrations in memory. There just hasn't been a scandal of the sort (and size) endured by prior Presidencies. Reagan had Iran-Contra, and George H. W. Bush lied to the voters about his knowledge of it.(As soon as he was settled into the Oval Office, he pardoned a large number of the Iran-Contra figures.) Everyone remembers the Clinton scandal and impeachment, but don't forget his Secretary of Housing, Henry Cisneros, resigned for lying to the FBI about his mistress. This brings us to G W Bush, and I'll limit this example to the US Attorney scandal that cost Scooter Libby his job and law license and damn near snared VP Cheney in the criminal net. You'll recall, of course, that Scooter had his prison sentence commuted by the President.

Despite the best efforts by folks like Rep Issa, there just hasn't been anything like those prior episodes in this administration. It must drive movement conservatives crazy.

I think EVERYONE has a secret, a skeleton in the closet, something only a privileged few know. Accusing Obama for having secrets is hypocritical unless we are willing to expose ourselves.
  • #109
    !
please don't expose yourself :)....But seriously a president has the keys to the arsenal and uses them. We as citizens get background checks for small stuff. Obama as a matter of record and fact went to great lengths to hide his history and records. Simple records. So what is he hiding? You see when you hide something people will then speculate what you are hiding....from the wild or mundane to the wackiest.

    One other question....who did he bribe to get the Nobel Peace Prize? I mean really....he gets it for doing nothing....kept up the wars....ramped up the TSA....kept the Patriot Act and him and his progressive liberals have been more divisive to this country than just about any president ever....{I mean seriously....church he went to taught to be intentionally divisive....and I don't believe that he sat there for those many years and he was unaware of what he was listening to....either something got through or he was that unaware....you know....as much as he keeps saying that the American people don't get what he or his progressive liberals are doing....perhaps it is unawareness....because he certainly isn't listening to America....}

Paranoia runs deep in the nation these days.
And don't say it's Obama, it started with 'black helicopters' a decade or so ago.

    How to fix it?

    @PoliticalSpice
    No.
See, we have to get past all the theatrics and get to rational management.
The people who hate and fear Obama really focus on him as the symbol of what they really fear, and that's change.
Not just change, but the rate of change. An ever accelerating rate. They are overwhelmed.
Nobody has any real security any more, physical or financial.
They feel threatened, and they want things to get back to normal.
You can condemn it if you want, but in truth it's just part of human nature that some of us are that way.
So whatever plan you propose to deal with anything, it has to take these people into account or it's not likely to be successful.

But back to the original question, "Is the Pres hiding something?"
The obvious answer is yes, after all, he's got the keys to Area 51......
  • #164
    !
@harold_lloyd keys to area 51? I'll let it pass, alien theories are a smoke screen. Area 51 was used to test top secret aircraft for the military, a research facility, the ufo's they saw were strange proto type aircraft, that is all.

    It was humor. Sorry.

I agree that the alien theories are silly.

The real secret is the dimensional transporter.
