The US Air Force has uncovered a cache of what the Royal Air Force would call "lad mags."
A sweep of Air Force bases around the world has resulted in the confiscation of over 600 items of pornographic material on either personal computers or displayed in common areas, Business Insider reports
. This as the aerial branch of the US military has come under fire in recent days over rape allegations, prompting an assessment of the institution's excessive guy culture.
"Some of this was clearly inappropriate," said
Maj. Joel Harper, an Air Force spokesman, who claimed the purpose of the global inspection was "to send a message that this type of stuff is not acceptable in this day and age."
Over 30,000 other items of an offensive but non-pornographic nature were also uncovered, according to the report, such as a video discovered by officials entitled "Achmed the Dead Terrorist."
