@martydotcom Hey, if he gets the Moon colony built I'll change my mind about him.

In the meantime, I just thought of a terrible side effect of his advice - what if Mitch McConnell tries to smile and he sprains his jowls?

Newt is part of the problem in the republican party. The republicans need new blood, new leaders. Of course after two more years of Obamacare, threatened gun confiscation, a tripled deficit, more unemployment, and a economy that equals the great depression, it will take only a miracle from God for another democrat to be elected president following this joke of a president.

I'm cheerful Obama is over half way through his 8 year destruction tour of the United States! It's down hill from here, not sure how deep we'll sink but " it's Bush's fault" will be wearing pretty thin by then!!:D

This is the man who should have represented the GOP as their presidential candidate. He may not have done any better than Rominee, but, the race would have been exponentially more entertaining.

If more Republicans had Gingrich's stones the party would be much better off. Most of the bastards are too busy worrying about how they are portrayed in the media or in church.

I would have liked to see Rubio run, I think he will in 16...he's really 'cool' & cute too!( laughing )

@mimi57 There aren't more than three or four in last years field that I would have liked to have seen as the R candidate. Rominee was not one of them.

I am just about sick of them anyway. Spineless wimps who don't dare challenge the left for fear they will be disliked.

@stepped_in_it It's all about "cool" now...forget everything else, it's all about the
    'Cool' factor. That's what makes a strong country. Right?...( ;

@Canoochee I didn't want Romney to run and don't know why he was chosen, I
knew his Mormonism would be a target, I don't like Mormonism and I consider
myself a Christian. There are far too many flaws in it, I mean the polygamy and
just way too many other things. He may be a good person, but he was not a good
candidate. I think the Right is afraid to anger people, seeing as everyone is so
sensitive and political correctness is to the puke limit...

I agree with the happiness part. However, I still think we need to highlight how naive the santa claus philosophy is for adults.

So, Newt (who really names their kid after a lizard!?) figures a turd covered in vanilla icing will taste better, huh!?
Or is he in fact saying that is will only "look" better?
Until the G.O.P. learns to progress, to distance itself from the Tea Party and the fundamentalist whackos, it's simply paint over rust.

Gingrich is like that Catholic hospital that suddenly says a fetus is not a baby. Once money enters the equation, principles go flying like leaves in an Autumn breeze.

I just wanted to point out that Newt is short for Newton and the animal is an amphibian, but otherwise, I agree with you.

There's not enough war going on to make the GOP happy. They only smile when bombs are going off, American young people are dying and money is being made.

We will happily tell the Liberals "Na, na, na, na, told you so" when Obama ruins our economy and the Liberals are the ones hurting most by Obama spending away the future of the country.

Embracing pop-culture is what has gotten the democrats where their at today, republicans would do better if they followed suit. The power parties aren't about ideology any way, it's all about the money.
