While some kids have no clue what Roe v. Wade is about, to others it's a sacred cause. The youth contingent are by and large a liberal bunch, but today in DC, thousands of young adults marched to demand national leaders essentially end abortion, reports USA Today. The "March for Life" rally was planned to coincide with the 40th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. One rally participant, Congressman Chris Smith of New Jersey, called the 1973 Supreme Court ruling allowing abortion "infamous, reckless and inhumane." "I am here because I am pro-life," said another rally attendee named Christina, who is one of seven siblings. "I want to raise awareness of how abortion is killing children." "We don't hurt animals but we have no problem killing babies," complained one Catholic protester. "I resent my tax money going toward abortion." Despite the sentiment, USA Today notes that just over half of Americans, or 53%, prefer the Roe vs. Wade decision to remain intact. Or make that 70%, if you believe a recent Wall Street Journal poll.
