Romney's campaign donated nearly $90,000 to the Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy relief – a month after the presidential election. Neither Romney nor his team publicized the gift.
If you recall, Romney was accused by the left of doing phony relief work for the Red Cross during the campaign.
The donation is eliciting a lot of response online: Conservatives are presenting it as evidence that Mitt is not the monster he was painted as in the liberal media. And current Obama fans are saying "that's nice, but still glad he isn't president." And one suspects that in private, former Romney backers are lamenting that Romney didn't make the donation before the election when it could have done him some good.
