Mrs. Romney is not onl a nice person, she is a responsible and intelligent person and will serve the position with the dignity it deserves.

Typical of this Left wing website, and the author of it to attack someone like Ann Romney!
It's so sad that this is what liberals have come to.
Really Pathetic Mary,.......you should be ashamed!

Why would ANY republican in their right mind waste their time? MA is filled with left wing whack jobs who wouldn’t DARE vote for anyone who doesn’t have the requisite D beside their name. They had their chance in November and they opted to elect a lying, deceitful, opportunist Oklahoma carpetbagger who has fewer morals and principals than a London pickpocket.

@Fishbone345 There was no attack. Some people seem to suffer from a persecution complex as if saying they're being unfailry attacked somehow gives them suffering martyr points towards their own opinions.

Like a recurring nightmare that keeps on playing out time after time in your head, they keep coming back(the Romneys) to inflict their sick aristocratic upper class
ways on rest of us. Some one should tell them it is time to quit, that people are tired of them and their ways. But the GOP and the ruling class are blind to the truth or reason.

She has a BA in French, has no stated work experience, has done some charity work and has experienced serious health problems, so she is qualified to be a Senator because... she is married to Mitt Romney?

The GOP is Looking in their garbage Can now digging to see what they can use.And all their doing is giving their Supporters more of a reason not to Vote GOP.

Why do you say that Mimi? Ann couldn't do any worse than Kerry did. She definitely be a nice counterweight to Elizabeth Warren. I'm not saying Ann is my choice, but the liberals want to attack her and berate her as if she's unfit, but she's just as capable as Kerry was.

    !
@Neo_NtheMatrix She may be, but I don't think she has the experience. We need
someone with more experience, don't you think?

@mimi57 - How much experience do any of the senators have that haven't been in the Senate or Congress the last 40 years? Like I said, I'm not saying she's my choice, but she couldn't possibly be worse than Kerry or Ted Kennedy. Tell me if you had to choose between voting for Ted Kennedy and Ann Romney you wouldn't try to vote twice for Ann.

@Neo_NtheMatrix Yes, as my husband reminded me, Obama nor Hillary had no experience. And since we are in a post Obama America 'experience' is no longer a
requirement. As for 'Sweaty Teddy...didn't he die?.. LOL No, seriously, I would never
vote TWICE for anyone, I'd have to change my party affiliation to do that! 10..9..8..

@Neo_NtheMatrix I don't want another Romney ever holding public office. I've already had enough of these Mormons. Tell them go back to Utah were they belong.

@WattheTyler God, I am glad liberals like you are such open minded people who are excepting to all religions. You should be a proud lib.

@Jack-Black Organized religion has caused more deaths of human beings than any other thing in human history. I have no respect for organized religion. Nor do I have respect for Mormons who until 1978 believed black people were a "cursed race" by god.

Reasons Ann won't run: Ann Romney considers herself to be a wife and a mother, not a political candidate. She has MS and other health issues. It is rare for a Mormon woman to run for office. She is not thick-skinned and would never want to upstage her husband. As far as I know Mrs. Romney has never held a job outside the home. She is currently 63 years old. Does this sound like someone chomping at the bit?

Something Is REALLY Fishy Here! In the traditional Mormom Family a woman's place is at home. This tells me that Mitt Romney wants his wife to be his straw proxy for him in the Senate. If Mitt wants the job, let him run for it honestly.

No. And frankly, for the same reasons I wasn't all that thrilled about Hillary being so prominent in politics. We are an inch away from creating a ruling noble class which passes political power from family member to family member. That is very damaging to a democracy.

I have been noticing a trend to have political dynasties. It seems to be increasing, but I haven't done enough research to know if it's just an impression or there really is more of it now than before.

I'm also seeing a trend for wealth to concentrate.

    !
@harold_lloyd You're right about the concentration of wealth. Combine the two and it's worrisome. I'll see if I can dig up some statistics about how many congressional seats are held by spouses or children of the previous representative.

Why not? Hell, is ignorant voters will elect the wives/widows of George Wallace and Sonny Bono to office there is a good chance Ann Romney could get elected.

Republican's have been put in a hard spot by their candidate pulling out 6 months before the elections. I know they need name recognition. Ann or Tag, ok I guess. But what about Mitt? I think they should put Mitt Romney in. The people would probably think, well we didn't vote him in as president, but putting him in the senate would be good. He is already known by all. His name recognition is huge! He is already ahead of the game because of his campaign. There wouldn't just be six months to introduce him. Take the best of his campaign and use it for the senate bid. They already voted for him as governor. I think the would vote him in a their senator!
