Hey @NTBFW, Glad you asked! Our engineers are working on the app, and it'll probably roll out a few weeks from now.

@PolitixRaena I'd like the ability to see the posts that the moderators removed. I've been called some pretty creative things here but I've missed a lot of them Also a lot of my very witty replies to these have been removed also for some unfathomable reason.

@PNWest Interesting. I'm not sure about showing posts that moderators have removed (after all, they were removed for a reason!) but do you mean being able to see your own posts that have been removed?

@PolitixRaena being able to see the post of mine that are removed would very helpful. Usually if I think about it I can figure out why something was zapped, but sonetimes I am at a loss, and being able to look at stuff that has been zapped might help me avoid making the same mistake again (or learning how to more artfully express my annoyance at another poster).

Hey @Keyjo, Glad you like the changes! And thanks for the great feedback. Allowing you guys to introduce forum topics is definitely something we'd like to offer, and it's something our engineers plan to work on. I'm not sure when it will happen just yet.

Btw, is there a way to turn of the notifications for vote ups? I have 3,400 vote ups, I'm used to just about every post I make getting voted up. It's part of what I do, make posts that people identify with. I don't need to be notified of the vote ups though. I'm much more interested when someone replies to me. The vote ups I assume will just happen. It's part of having your finger on the pulse of true American thinking.

Too many vote ups = a nice problem to have! You can just go to your Profile, click Settings, then unclick the box that says "Someone votes my comment up."

@PolitixRaena - I did that in the past, that just stops me from getting the email that someone voted me up. I don't want the notification here either. It is a nice problem to have though.

Btw, thumbs up for the nice job you guys have done with this site.^5

@Penn1699 - Thanks. You've been a loyal co-signer. If only there were more of you.

Btw, I hope no one gets the impression I don't appreciate the vote ups. It always feels great when I make a good point and I see that there are others out there that feel the same way.

    :-)

@Neo_NtheMatrix couldn't help but hit the "vote up."
What you say is true. I turned my email and alert sounds off. It becomes too distracting. Especially when I'm riled up and needing to take a step back from a heated discussion.

And as long as we're dreaming big - When I click a notification that someone has replied to me, it usually turns out they've actually replied to someone else in the thread. If we could have "replied to me" just for posts that include our user names that would help skim past the not-to-me posts.

Second, when I do click the replied-to-me from notifications, I am not directed to that post if the number of posts is large enough to take up several pages, and I have to click the load-more link at the bottom.

I don't know if this is true for desktop users but it's certainly true for the Politix app on a Nexus 7 running Jelly Bean

This is great feedback, thanks @DARSB. And re: the not being directed to a post if the number of posts is large enough to take up several pages, the forum view is gearing up to fix that very issue. The Forum is currently in Beta, but once we work out the kinks and our users have had some time to give feedback and adjust to the new view, we'll be able to send notifications that will link you directly to the post that replied to you and you won't have to click load-more to get there. As you saw, you won't see the Forum on mobile quite yet, but all of this will be coming along soon. Thanks again for the feedback!

Ha Ha! Who are the few people who voted "I don't like new things"? That's hilarious... The Forum sounds like a nice addition... Who says "I don't like new things"??? LOL! Oh, I'll be chuckling a while on that one... whew!

One good thing about the new features is no one has to use them. The site still works like it did before. Utilizing the new updates is optional so no one should be too put off. BTW, I like the new features so far.

@Thunderchicken I just did some checking and the reply button is present in Internet Explorer 10 but not Firefox. I do have a lot of FireFox extension so one of those could be the culprit. Thanks for pointing that out.

@Thunderchicken It is there for Firefox on my phone and tablet (Andriod) on my desktop\laptop it isn't even when disabling all extensions and add-ons. On the desktop\laptop it is there for Chrome and IE. Curious to see what you find out when you get home.

I like the changes you are making. Especially being able to find former post myself and others wrote. Also not having to start back at the beginning of a discussion and scroll to find where you were at. I also like the idea of being able to discuss the topics of a quiz you took. I think you are making a good move here! I mostly use my iPhone, so can hardly wait for the new app.

I know the company that is Politiix is quite excited about things new that they want. But we have long asked that we be able to converse privately to share emails and such and I don't see that here. I'll look at it again but it doesn't seem to have much of interest to me beyond what we already have. To a stat freak (and most programers are) it's an improvement.

@PolitixMary Cool. While they're at it, I'd like the app build into Android's 'share' option so I can share interesting stories with y'all with a couple of clicks instead of launching email and adding attachments.

@PolitixMary It's great you are making the improvements. Thanks. I still like being able to PM other posters like we can on Topix. Perhaps in the future ??
