Give em hell ted!!!! tell the Hypocrites how
America, is really feeling about their destroying
The History of this country!! our history and
values are not up for debate!

Actually if you do your homework, Ted Nugent is the hypocrite. Ted Nugent should have been supporting Pres. Obama. Mitt Romney enacted the toughest gun legislation in the country , as Governor of Massachusetts. This is a fact. Obama did nothing about guns and even now it is only talk . Nugent also threatened the POTUS. This leads me to believe that Ted "hasbeen" Nugent is just another rightwing racist using the gun stuff as an excuse to hate Obama. Redneck Nugent hates Obama because of his skin color.

Speaking of hypocrites...Harkening back to a recent Politix topic, uh, please tell us again who/what group is working tirelessly to divide Americans? The seething, unbridled hatred being proudly displayed by extremist, right-wingers is truly something to behold.

Just as an aside,@Mary, Michigan native Nuge is not a "southern rocker", being the "Motor City Madman" and all, and there are plenty of real guitarists who cringe whenever Nugent's name and "guitar legend" are used in the same sentence.

@thatgirl I have some really good "guitar legend" music on vinyl....including Hendrix, Nugent, Zeppelin, Clapton and others. Please don't make fun of me with the "vinyl" music :)

@Medicinebow I would never do that, I still have a LOT of music on vinyl, as well as my dads huge jazz and bebop collection.

As much as I like @POLITIXMARY, Ted Nugent is not now nor has he ever been a southern rocker. He was attempting to be a metal rocker at one time (DASRB is right, he called himself the Motor City Madman" and he's sorta fallen into that cliche of "hard rock" which is basically power chords and box riffs that any kid in the bedroom with guitar can play? But he's never been a southern rocker or a guitar legend.

True true, "southern-influenced " might have been better, though perhaps you can be a "southern rocker" even if you're born elsewhere. "Guitar legend" is a matter of taste, of course ;)

I've got to give the congressman credit. He managed to find a way to make sure that no politician will be the biggest douche in the room during the State of the Union.

You know, I am against gun control, as are many Americans. But there is a way to go about this. The people that they keep putting up to debate the anti gun control side are some of the biggest nuts they could find. Its like they looked far and wide for the craziest people alive, lined them up, and said "you go first since you're the least crazy. You go second because...." etc. In what world are these people helping?

In related news the Secret Service will be billing for an additional 100 agents, accompanying hookers and party favors to ensure Nugent isn't going to act out. Nugent on the other hand is wearing his camo tie, and presenting the president with a guitar shaped like a Laws rocket.

@jessejaymes I don't know. Maybe congress needs a committee to look into this. Why not, D.C. has committee's for all the other unimportant stuff...even though hookers would be a more important unimportant "stuff"

I hope he jumps up, runs his crazy mouth and the Secret Service just beats the crap out of him until he realizes how ignorant and backwards his views have become after years of taking drugs and watching propaganda television.

You kinda beat me to this. I was gonna say: once you've gotten bored by the speech, count the number of Secret Service agents in Teddy's vicinity.

"Nugent openly admitted that he avoided the draft during the Vietnam War. In an October 1977 interview with the magazine devoted to marijuana, High Times and in 1990 with the Detroit Free Press, he told how he avoided the draft. This is what he had to say in 1977:

“So I got my notice to be in the draft. Do you think I was gonna lay down my guitar and go play army? Give me a break! I was busy doin’ it to it. I had a career, Jack! I ceased cleansing my body. No brushing teeth, no washing hair, no baths, no soap, no water. Thirty days of debris build. My hair was gettin’ kinky, matted up. I just had chips, Pepsi, beer, syrup. Then a week before, I stopped going to the bathroom. I did it in my pants. S..t, p..s, the whole shot. My pants got crusted up. I was a walking, talking hunk of human s..t.”

His actions over the course of the 30 days prior to his draft physical, which also included ingestion of crystal meth, earned himself a deferment from military service. He also obtained a student deferment by enrolling in a community college but by his own accounts never attended."

So what's he doing now, trying to compensate?

And with his psychiatric history, how did he pass a background check? Or did he? Easy enough for him to find a straw man to buy his guns for him.

@mimi57 Certainly he has more in common with other never-served gun enthusiasts, like former VP Dick Cheney, than any liberal.

Ted is a rock star. He says outrageous thing because he likes pissing the left off. He isn't crazy he just hates the left and doesn't care what you think. He thinks the left is a joke. That's what's funny about him. The left hates not being taken seriously. There are dozens of left wing artist that do the same to the right.

@thatgirl he married her didn't he? He is what he is. I mean look at the liberal musicians lady ga ga for example. But every once in a while he makes a point. He likes the fact you don't like him. The more the left gripes about him the more he loves it.
  • #36

@NTBFW what does marriage have to do with the fact that he was banging underage girls? Lots of them. His music sucks, and he is a pedophile. And he is one of yours.

@thatgirl I don't know. Like I said I take him about as serious as I do most rock stars. The only one that I respect is Vincent Furnier. Alice Cooper. He said we would be idiots to listen to his opinion about politics. He is only a rock star.

Stockman isn't doing the GOP any favors by inviting such a nutbag to a formal, serious event. Hasn't the Republican party shot itself in the foot enough this past year?
  • #59
    !
@Clarke12 - Probably so, but right now it is the GOP that has become "the party of stupid" associated with people making ridiculous and often stupid statements (i.e., Todd Akin). I would hope that GOP members were smart enough to realize that now is not a good time to associate with lunatics.
  • #62

@Denizen_Kate I would consider that an opinion, and believe that depending on the day, both parties are capable of moronic statements. the only difference is what is reported more frequently.

Let's just hope that the media gives Ted LOTS & LOTS of attention. The more Ted speaks up the more people will be repulsed by the GOP brand. People like Ted Nugent, Todd Akin, Richard Mourdock, Sarah Palin, Joe Wilson, Allen West and Michelle Bachmann are great for the Democrats.

Personal I feel that's what people don't like about President Obama. His skin color. And we all suffer because of that stupid. It's our kids he's trying to protect people. If you think being a white person makes you better, then let me ask you something, "what makes you different then someone like Osama Bin Laden he hates people too?". "GOD" created all of us. If he created everybody to look the same, there wouldn't be any reason to leave you home. What would be the point? You'd all ready know what everyone looks like. "Boring!" "GOD" made all of us and he can't be wrong. Ted Nugent along with all the rest of you hating people must be a bunch of Satan Worshipers!

@Pappaslack I doubt it. He was against the Vietnam War.

    To quote the chickenhawk database:

One certain, specific combination of choices will result in his becoming a chickenhawk: choosing to “support” war, while also choosing not to serve in the military. His motto becomes:“Let’s you and him go fight; I’ll hold your coat.”

Depending on external circumstances, such an individual may become one of three varieties of chickenhawk:
    • If there is no draft, and the nation is at peace, the individual becomes a Common Chickenhawk;
    • If there is a draft, and the nation is at peace, the individual becomes a Chickenhawk First Class;
    • If the there is a draft, and the nation is at war, the individual becomes a Chickenhawk First Class with Distinguished Fleeing Cross.

He's a citizen, if he's invited he can certainly attend. I understand Joe Wilson might not be able to make it, will Nuge be the Guest Heckler, do you think?

Maybe he'll make a move and the Secret Service will have to take him down. Personally I'd like to see how "tough" he is against them. Might go a long way in showing us just what the "Nuge" really has to back up all his bluster.

Blah Blah Blah The President does not love Our Country. That is obvious. And what more really needs to be said? He has been contained throughout his presidency. We have now had a black president. I Guess next its either a homosexual or a woman. Or maybe a woman who is a homosexual. Wrap it all up then. If we are still around as a country.

Oh Yeah! More of US need to speak out! I hate to say it but Obama is NOT a fan of the US of A. Many of his statements in Arab countries (in particular) concerning us here at home have not been pro-American and the actions he took last term and now this one, prove that he does not have our best interest at heart. We could be in very bad trouble in the next year or so and it doesn't take Ted Nugent to see that. There were many threats to Hitler too.... before he actually took his position as Chanclor and they were right...In fact, Hiltler gradually took rights and put into place laws that put complete control into place for his "regime" later. He did this from various government and local service positions and political offices he held over a period of years. The people saw it coming, couldn't stop it and when he did finally take power....they fled the country. Obama may not have done all of this..yet, but he is sure working on it. It has taken several different administrations over the recent years and now, Obama is simply the finale....taking our guns is a very important part of the plan. Taking our rights to our property is another...done through the international green initiative... Call me crazy, but ... I am buying an open ended ticket....OUT OF THE COUNTRY. You know, just in case?
