Let me ask you this... how many senators do you think actually still live in the areas they represent? How many senators do you think do not live in D.C. the majority of the time?

I can't wait to find out which conservative the White House has ordered the media, including Politix, to destroy next week.

Well, he's not a conservative, but Dr. Carson is definitely in their gun sights, stay tuned, there are sure to be a few women who he dissed, made abort a love child, raped, made offensive remarks to, stalked, loved and left who will come out of the woodwork with Gloria Allred by their side with lurid stories to tell. None of them provable, each of them with fresh cash in the bank and all of them will be totally embraced by the MSM in the hope that that wonderful man's character is so assassinated that he won't be able to be a voice of reason. Wait and see.

@Tralee I am sure Dr. Carson is being investigated as we speak in case he decides to run for office, or advocate for something, or support someone. I wonder how long it will take for the decent majority to become sick of this hate fest.

@Realthinker Not soon enough, I thought the decent majority would not vote for Obama, that shows just how out of the loop I was. I really can't explain how he could have possibly won, the economy is in the tank, jobs are in the tank, there is nothing good coming and he still got elected? I have to guess that the general voting public is just stupid, the low information voter that so many have been talking about, the low information voter who only gets there information from the Daily Show. Well, stupid is as stupid does, they will eventually realize what they voted for, with my luck lately, it will be along the line of a day late and a dollar short. Too late to correct the damage.

@Neo_NtheMatrix Me either. If a man or woman wants to sell or buy a house how is that anyone's business? It's an attempt by the lefty loons to make Rubio look bad. So childish.

    @Neo_NtheMatrix
I forget who it was here I had a discussion with about how Rubio was vetted here in FL during the Senate race. He had the good sense to stick with version 3 life story, the final one of the senate race, his parents moved here for a better life.(V1 and V2 had them escaping tyrannical Cuba is fear of their lives) Working class neighborhood???$675,000 price sounds like no working class I know of in Miami.

@OhWiseOne Do YOU live in Florida? If Rubio YOUR Senator? No? Then your comments dont count.

Oh, and yes, I live in FL part of the year and pay taxes there.

Think about this.....FL has had the worst depreciation in housing since the meltdown....think what that house is REALLY worth.

More than that, I'd like to know who's buying it.

We've had a spate of pols here in the sunshine state
who took their gratuities in the form of homes sold for
multiples of their true value, bought by mysteriously
generous buyers who happen to have a connection
    to someone who wanted favors.

Kay, it's like this. The left was dumbstruck by the logic of Senator Rubio's rebuttal. They overplayed their hand with regards to the audacity of taking a drink of water. Twenty four hours after the fact, there is no coherent response from the left with regards to Obama' blatant idiocracy. Sen. Rubio does still in fact live in the same neighborhood that he grew up in as a child. This trespass is unforgivable, to have the audacity as an American of Hispanic descent to point out the fallacy of the first African American president using logic, reason, and truth while at the same time committing copyright infringement by using a brand (Hispanic) owned by the Democrat party. If you think about it Sen. Rubio deserves to be punished for his trespasses, does he not? Hell no he doesn't. This is a gift from the heavens for the Republican party. Send in the clowns.

I love how these GOP idiots try to play the humble martyr. " I came from nothing and still live amongst the common folk, because I'm real, and I understand them and shouldn't you all just love me because I am so honest and humble?" I know of this black man who was raised by a single mom, came from no money, and became president and got re-elected, and HE didn't need a drink of water every 10 minutes when he spoke live to a room full of important people.

What's the problem, other than the MSM is looking for ways to denigrate and marginalize Rubio? He said he still lives etc. etc., he DOES, he has a reasonable reason for moving and all this is just more of the attempted smear campaign by the Dems. because Rubio is looking to be a strong contender. This is just more of the same, they demonized a perfectly nice and decent person in Romney, Character assassination is a specialty of the democrat party. Can run on ideas so do a smear campaign.

I tend to agree that this is a bit of a 'non-story'. OTOH, had it been determined that the Obamas were selling their house in Chicago - the one that *he* mentioned in his State of the Union speech - the right and the Obama-haters would be all over it...

Pretty much my thoughts on it. Party politics. Right wingers quick to defend, left wingers quick to attack, and had the tables been turned, the opposite would be true. Though it does make it easy to spot the two when stories like this come out.

For a real news story. Did you hear about Columbia professor Lamont Hill and his comments glorifying a black killer? BTW, Lamont Hill is a big time Obama supporter. Check back often for more real news.

@Jack-Black Thank you. I've sent it to Mary twice but they refuse to post it. They had rather focus on Rubio's house and Hillary having sex with a bear.

@DARSB Something tells me that's not what you would be preaching if a professor expressed sympathy for a white serial killer who went on a rampage because of affirmative action.

If you are going to pretend to have your own news agency, you should really get your own website, then learn what "real news" is. By the way, Charles Manson says President Barack Obama is "a slave of Wall Street", which is every bit as irrelevant as what Lamont Hill says about Obama. Real news does not include guilt by innuendo.

I agree with you, but obviously even selling your personal residence has become partisan by looking at these posts. So sad! A majority of the folks posting on this site are so partisan that I find it sickening. It is like two rafts that are headed for the falls, one is pointing and blaming the other for their situation..meanwhile they both go over the cliff.

You know, I almost feel sorry for the Grand Old Party. They keep putting their "best and brightest" (choke) out front and get burned every time. This time they trot out their token Latino (Savior), hoping to pull in some of the 71% who voted for Obama and all they got was Waterbottle Gate AND stupid comments about living in his old neighborhood. Sad with a capital S.A.D. It's like a soap opera.....stay tuned for the next episode of "As the Stomach Turns". What will the White Party do next??

Money must be rolling in from Poland Spring. He should not be bragging about being a millionaire Senator that lives in his poor neighborhood if he's selling the home. To brag about something you have to show a continued effort to support the thing you are bragging about. I can eat 15 Hot Dogs in 5 minutes but I won't show anyone because I don't eat hot dogs anymore.

I'm sorry but I have to LAUGH at those who are making a big deal about a "politician" selling his house... you people never cease to amaze me. I'm still scratching my head at "Bottlegate"... these are 2nd grade talking points... Get Real!

Advice to all Republican Party politicians: If the GOP asks you to give the rebuttal to the SOTU address, run like hell!

I don't agree with Rubio on much of anything and if I lived in Florida, he wouldn't get my vote, but sheesh! I'm actually starting to feel sorry for the guy!
