Sarah Palin has finally weighed in on the sequester. She explained on her Facebook page that we shouldn't worry about spending cuts. The real danger is that America will default on its debt, and that's why the feds have been making large bullet purchases - to control "civil unrest."
If we are going to wet our proverbial pants over 0.3% in annual spending cuts when we're running up trillion dollar annual deficits, then we're done. Put a fork in us. We're finished. We're going to default eventually and that's why the feds are stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest.
She added, "The real economic Armageddon looming before us is our runaway debt, not the sequester."
Palin's theory isn't entirely new. It's circulated since at least last year via chain email and been debunked by Snopes.com, according to The Atlantic Wire. The rumor has also been debunked by the NRA's statistics wing, who defend the federal government's ammo purchases as necessary for training and arming so many different agents.
