Not so fast, Quicksdraw! She could be right. Remember Fast and Furious? This could very well be "Last and Spurious".

@El_Galego just because we have an adminisrtation that will leave americans to die in a consulate under terrorist attack, does'nt automatically mean they would blow joggers off the course with glorified pipebombs...

because she's as entertaining as a Chris Matthews/Alex Jones love child? This is by no means the craziest thing she's said or done; if somebody followed her for a day with a microphone, there would be a week of material for the talk shows.

@Food4thoughts You're right, Dems would never believe she was a Republican cause she's black. Kinda racist, but what can ya do?

Like Herman Cain? The self-loathing of supporting a party that goes against personal interest is rather baffling...I could see where there could be a degree of disbelief. Then again the poor ole souf is a poster child for that bafflement...*sigh*

No worries we'll keep trying to weed out our "crazies" with the peace of mind that a warm welcome awaits them on the "other side" ;-)

@Food4thoughts when you say "get rid of" do you actually mean let die in office after 48 years like Strom Thurmond?

Imagine that a tragic terrorist attack takes place in America and within minutes half the right wingers who post on a political site are rushing to suggest that "the government did it". Now imagine that a lunatic fringe former DEM congresswoman says the exact same thing. Kinda stirs the ole imagination that the Lunatic fringe can call themselves any party they want but the party they actually belong to is the Lunatic Fringe.

Apparently crazy knows no boundaries when it comes to conspiracies. Seems every side blames the other for everything and we have conspiracies to float along with the blame. Its getting really goofy.

That's because they already know that this government was involved in Operation Fast and Furious and because those responsible are still at the helm of the ship of state.

@Medicinebow - You want to see how crazy conspiracies can sound? Read this one, posted on Facebook yesterday. If you are their great debunker, then let's see you go for the big ones.
    ==========
BOSTON BOMBINGS: Hmm...another April massacre. It might be interesting to note that the Oklahoma City bombing occurred this week, the Columbine massacre occurred this week, the Waco tragedy occurred this week, the VA Tech massacre occurred this week.

COINCIDENCE?? I think not. The list goes on..

The American Revolution began this week, so did the American Civil War, and the Bosnian War. Still think this is coincidence?

Add the Rwandan Genocide and the Armenian Genocide to the list. Also, Abraham Lincoln was shot this week.

This is just the beginning of the list. Still think this is all crazed conspiracy theory?? Well, before you come to any conclusions, you may want to check out the satanic ritual calendar.

The month of April is full of satanic high holy days. This is not mere chance folks. This is not a coincidence. There are very dark powers at work here. We need to be on our knees, crying out to God, warring in prayer against these demonic forces."" - Russ Dizdar

everything seems a little too convenient,,i was listening yesterday when first report were packages were seen left in the area of bombs, then later the report were bombs in trash cans??with all the security they overlooked something that oblivious,we have people in office that are selling our country out at wholesale prices, they are certainly capable of a false flag operation of this sort, especially this current administration

While there is very little I would not put past this administration, I fail to see how bombing a marathon advances the leftist agenda. Bombs are already illegal; we do not need more bomb laws. Only if they can (falsely) tie this to some sort of lunatic fringe can they use it to try and smear all conservatives as murderers.

@Realthinker thats what i,m sayin, they have warned the military that skinheads/teapartyers , Conservative's in general are the new enemy of the state, now they are tying in the skinheads to murders in the midwest, and now they have thru the media hinted that this might be the work of teaparty/neoConservative,so now that is already imprinted in the low info crowds mind, the gears of the progressive propaganda machine never rest

I think you must be trying to say "Muslim"---And there is nothing wrong with being Muslim--So if the president can have "Christian" supporters, he can also have "Muslim" supporters, and "Jewish" supporters, etc....I wonder if you insult the Christian "faith" when ever one of those "loving people" blows up a clinic or shoots a doctor down in cold blood in the street?

@POLYMATH257 You mean it couldn't have been a Ted Kaczynski, the Leftist, anti-technology UnABomber?
  • #95

@El_Galego Wasn't aware Kazynski was filling out polls and voting while living in his shack. I was under the impression he had a break from reality and was an A-1 nutjob.
There's a reason she's an ex-congresswoman. Apparently she's stupid and says stupid things. I'm just reading this thread to see how many suggested the same thing on earlier threads and are now attacking her since she's a democrat for taking the stance they were when they blamed Obama.
Guess what, there are several. Suprise, suprise, suprise.
  • #106
    !
@El_Galego Yes, of course it could have been, but the fact that it the device was small and amateurish, that the attack happened on tax day, and the propensity of the nuts on the right for this type of violence leads me to *suspect* it was done by someone with that lean. Ted attacked business execs and those supporting large businesses: that's more a signature of leftists.

That thought ran through my head first and that it was because of sequestration to increase Homeland and Defense spending! Nothing like homeland terrorism to advert one's attention away from the economy or a false flag operation to get us into another war.

... then again those were just random thoughts than ran through my head and nothing that I would be crazy enough to stated behind publicly with an evidence ... lol =)

I really can't discount the comment knowing what I know about government. My own personal thought leans less toward a subversive government plot than at Sandy Hook where the they hit the media screaming gun control before the last body hit the ground. Anyone who thinks government is here for the benefit of the people is probably waiting for flying unicorns to stop by and piss diamonds in their cereal.

Bomb sniffing dogs are pretty common in the US these days. It is an effort to stop incidents like this from happening. So does your football coach have any explanation for why bomb sniffing dogs would be involved in a bombing plot? Makes about as much sense as saying that traffic cops park along the highway to cause traffic accidents.
  • #149
    !
@El_Galego Uhh....maybe another explosive was involved? Maybe the bomb was well-shielded or masked--or even placed after the dogs swept. We'll have to find out, won't we?

@Knightkore I'm not saying the act wasn't disgusting. That was crazy. And it was in a relatively high security, high alert location too.

She should not have said it without at least some sort of backing. It is now a common political statement. Let's say something that has no basis in reality, but will get me significant airtime, positive or negative.

It's becoming like those bad commercials in TV and radio. You hate them. You turn them off when you see them, but at the same time you can't purge the memory, and they can be as effective as a "good" ad.

@Firestorm I came up with the theory earlier way before she did.....think of it for a bit, you'll realize it is either some kind of "live" training {the military has been known to experiment on soldiers without them knowing} or false flag operation or someone similar to one of the mass shooters with some kind terrorist training.....the possibility that it was a foreign terrorist group grows slimmer by the hour because none have claimed credit.....one other possibility.....what happens if the person or persons were part of the marathon in some way? A volunteer emergency worker, a runner.....

What many in the public fail to understand is that the govt is not reckless enough carry out an attack that would ultimately be tracked back to them. If our country was ever attacked the closest we would ever come to finding a group of powerful "individuals" responsible, would be finding them guilty of doing nothing despite warning signs of an imminent attack.

It's much cleaner to "allow" someone weaker than you to attack you and claim they slipped through the cracks than to take the risk of faking an attack.

That's just my opinion. In this I'd think this was the work of either some anti-NRA zealot hoping to fan the flames or some NRA supporter trying to make a point about bombs being more dangerous than guns.

If this turns out be another case of Saudi Nationals like 9/11, McKinney might have just hit the nail on the head.

I mean, if I do like Michael Moore did and put 2 and 2 together...

If there were bomb-sniffing dogs there, then there is only one possible conclusion: the city of Boston prepared for a terrorist act and failed to prevent it.

Either the prevention measures were routine, or they were acting on a potentially credible threat.

Perhaps the threat wasn't taken very seriously, in which case someone's career is in jeopardy. Or perhaps it was taken seriously and for whatever reason they failed to prevent it.

Then again, someone might have threatened to shoot people as they crossed the finish line in order to deflect attention from what he was really planning.

Sometimes the bad guys win, that's just a fact of life that we all have to deal with every day.

But to suggest that the bomb squad was on a training mission and therefore the government was behind the bombing is nonsense.

And the fact that no one has taken credit means nothing. Not every sick individual who commits acts of terror wants notoriety. They may just want revenge, or are just so sick that they're compelled to wreak havoc.
