Meanwhile the inanity of the talking heads on television never ceases. Now they are once again quoting the mother of these two. They should be ashamed of themselves. Any mother who has just lost a child, regardless of what that child may have done, should be OFF LIMITS to the vultures who call themselves journalists. Asshats, the lot of 'em.

I fully and 100% agree with your disdain for the liberal mainstream media. They truly suck and are a huge problem in this country.

@CircuitCircus yeah 'cause she raised them to blow people up. You should think about trading in your rush to condemnation for a clue and a little empathy.

@Firestorm now we can pay for his lawyer, food, lodging, exercise and medical treatment for the next 20 years while he plea bargains, appeals and reappeals until we can finally sentence him to life. Yay.

Is anyone prepared to now have a real discussion about securing the borders and being more strict with our immigration policy? Or do we let more terrorists into the country to blow us up? We have one of the most wimpiest immigration policies of any nation on Earth. That needs to be corrected.

Our immigration policies would not have prevented this kid from immigrating to the US... in fact, he seemed like the type of immigrant we want to welcome... stellar academics, achieved citizenship, going to med school on a scholarship, friendly and kind... no one has anything bad to say about this boy... I think you are jumping the gun... and why do you say we have the "wimpiest immigration policies" in the world?

Many times the "why" is less satisfying than not knowing. Not saying we shouldn't at least ask, but don't expect the answer to give any resolution to the question. "Because" is the usual answer.

Would have been good to have had Oswald to have survived and told his story also. This guy has the answer to a much larger picture.

I've got a new waterboarding method...it involves backing in a Suburban, hitching up the trailer and backing the rat into the river...repeatedly.

okay I haven't been home yet so forgive me if I'm late to the party....

... anybody wanna bet on how fast the White House and the media try to turn this terrorist attack into just a heinous crime.... if it hasn't started already I'll bet you all the sunday shows ( well all the state-run media sunday shows) will be trying to convince everyone this was'nt terrorism it was just a crime

OK, now NBC just announced they got him alive at 8:45 pm Eastern Time. Now, if we could just avoid any Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby scenarios down at the local police officers station (as Arlo Guthrie would have sang). Declare him an enemy combatant on American Soil and ship him off to Guantanamo NAS for some inspection, detection, and neglection, so we can get the truth out of him. Don't let him hide behind some hungry lawyer eager for national exposure.

@DogLady_1 - He'd have to be alive to get his trial to either prove the case that he did it or didn't. If he's dead, well... So I hope he is captured alive, convicted, tortured, and then executed. Never say that I am not a man of compassion.

@Neo_NtheMatrix - "Never say that I am not a man of compassion." All evidence to the contrary. Sheesh, Neo. I thought you were a Christian.

May want to rephrase the first statement to "A suspect" instead of "THE suspect".

We've had a lot of misinformation today with things due to that type of phrasing. They don't actually know it's him yet, just that someone is in there.

    @ACTSmom

They don't know that yet. Most media stations are making very clear that we don't know if it's the guy we've been looking for or just another crazy person(like the old guy earlier with the bomb vest and deadman switch).

Glad they got him. Now it's time to intragate him and then send him packing to gitmo and put in a fast lane to death row garbage scum pos.

He needs to be tried for his crimes, not killed. We are a nation of laws and we should afford every citizen their right to trial by jury. I trust the Law Enforcement to capture him if possible and bring him to justice.

With him alive, a lot of questions can be answered. We're there more people helping him and his brother? Was the mastermind his older brother? Why did they do this? Are they members of a terrorist group? These young men were probably already irreparably damaged from the first part of their lives in a war torn area with shooting and bombing happening for their entire lives until they were 16 and 10. Then the U.S. accepted their parents plea for asylum here to save this family's lives. Obviously their parents divorced and their father moved to Russia. This probably further unhinged them. Did they want America to know what it felt to live as they did for 16 and 10 years? Who knows, that's why capturing them will help us to understand why. We all want to know. I'm pretty sure the terrorist attack will put him in the federal court system. This will allow the death penalty even if that state does not have it.
