This thing is a result of people that know what this President is: A man that HATES America and the Soldiers that fight and have fought for her.

To see a Marine carry his umbrella is the embodiment of isLam's victory over America. It is a done deal and most American's never even noticed it happening.

@WVMountYouNear I was just hearing yesterday about the new directive to various govt. agencies that we need to show respect and tolerance to sharia law practicing people. We will burn down a Christian splinter group (watch "Waco rules of engagement") infrared shows the initial flames starting from a tanks turret. It also shows the women and children all huddled in a central area with bullets firing in on them while the building was burning. But we must show utmost respect to people who keep women in burqas and cut their tounges out when they try to say "my opinion matters". Where is obamas feminist supporters on that one? That's a question I would like answered.

You're right. I'm afraid he's going to stop the sun from coming up in the morning so he can sleep in. What will the rest of us do? Pay higher electric bills because we need to use our lights? Starve because the harvest fails or learn to live on mushrooms? It's got me really worried.

Hmm I listened to ALL and everything for 8 years blamed on Bush and the last 4 years , too. Why don't liberals take responsibility ever ?

Hmm yes Obama knew since LAST June what the IRS was doing . So Why did he put on the big act now of being shocked ? He's corrupt, he has been since the day he ran for presidency .

Because they don't like President Barack Obama. This is for many reasons, but mainly the fact that he is an African-American Democrat AND the President of The United States of America; in-spite of what they will tell you the "real" reason is. And so they will ridicule anything that he does (no matter how good, bad, or benign!) regardless of the facts involved and berate, unmercifully, anyone that doesn't agree with them.

obama intimidates a lot of people because he's a lot smarter than they are. like his politics or not... he's smart and people lower on the intellectual chain find that to be intimidating. i for one WANT a president who is smarter than me.... but you may recall bush trumped kerry back then because bush was the one with whom people wanted 'to get a beer'. so, black, center (he's no lefty), smart and articulate, cosmopolitan... crap... that's a recipe for this country to pee all over itself with frustration.

I don't like him because he is racist, socialist, America hating, POS, liar, and has a very dark past that he does not want exposed. I could care less about his skin color. I'd have vote for Condi Rice, JC Watts, Herman Cain and they are BLACK. That blows your GOP hates blacks theory right out the window. YOUR SIDE IS CLUELESS as to why the Right doesn't like him. We keep telling you but you can't take the truth and have to lie about it.

@ST_Louie_Sue He isn't racist or a socialist. He doesn't hate America. The right doesn't like him because he is neither Republican nor Libertarian.

yeah... i haven't eaten in months because cooking looks to my spying neighbors like i am effeminate... and i don't crap sitting down either because i am afraid someone might think i am pissing (sitting down!!)... messy, but effective. so, i couldn't agree more... my a # 1 objective in life is to make sure that others don't think something of me that ain't true. at this point... i spend my entire day flexing in front of a mirror hoping others are noticing. but, i CAN think of just ONE time when a man might want to hold an umbrella: when its raining and he doesn't want to get wet... or when he's using it to gauge someone... aggressively... in a manly way.... but, true, aside from that, i can't think of any other time a man should even be in the same room as an umbrella.

because the other three pictures do not depict a US Marine holding an umbrella which is against the Marine Corps rules. most likely our idiot president didn't know that, nor did any of his underqualified advisors. it wouldn't be a big deal except, it brings back to mind the Obama's philosophy of tearing tradition down so they can replace it with their own imagry. by the same token I doubt Sarah Palin knew it either.

The wind up, the pitch AND BSKING WALLOPS THIS ONE OUT OF THE UNIVERSE!

Nothing more than a trifling pitch to make some determination as to how ignorant Americans are while testing the waters for just how pissed Americans will be when they learn the whole truth about Extortion 17.

Most Americans would see no problem had he ordered that Marine to kneel down to spit shine his shoes.

He didn't tell the marine to cover himself--which is what the rule says. Are you saying that, if a marine were taking his wife and newborn child home from the hospital and it was raining, the the bitch should just deal with getting wet? Or can he hold the umbrella so she and the child are covered?

Because they are desperate to overturn the presidential election any way they can.

If Obama sneezed then politely excused himself, his opponents would roll on the floor foaming at the mouth as they claimed they had never heard such an offensive sneeze before. The sneeze was Kenyan. The sneeze was socialist. The sneeze was Muslim. The sneeze was a communist liberal secretive overt tyrannical radical sneeze that was meant to offend white Christians across the nation. He must be impeached for the sneeze!

It's like a pack of Chihuahuas constantly barking at the least little sound.

Lol, maybe it's the blatant disrespect, and has nothing to do with party. You know, like holding the left hand during Pledge of Allegiance, saying, "all this for a damn flag" funding revolutions and supplying guns to Islamic countries, along with our tax dollars, appointments under the table with coungressional approval. We really have some dumb Congressman right now, young, naive, they should still have a say as to whether we fund and support countries that support terrorists, and use our money to wage war on US, and smuggle heroin back here to us using our money. What's wrong with that?

Because they couldn't make him a one term president, and they are playing the same playbook they did with Clinton. i.e. there has to be some scandal we can use to oust him. The problem is, they just make themselves look like petty imbeciles.

Obama is not my favorite president by a long shot but you foil hat wearing hate mongers need to get a life, he is no more incompetent or corrupt than any other president we've had in the last twenty year. The Marine was holding an umbrella over the Commander and Chief of the Armed Forces, over the president of the United States, not over himself or walking with it. Get a life people, it was an umbrella and a Marine appointed to a presidential detail nothing more.

I think the fake outrage is coming from the Left. Let's take Palin's Facebook post as an example.

In between these two lighthearted jabs at Obama...

"Mr. President, when it rains it pours, but most Americans hold their own umbrellas."

"Speaking of coverage, glad you finally called in the Marines... shame it was just to hold your umbrella."

... Palin brought up several real problems with this administration like violations of the Hatch Act, the Benghazi cover-up, the IRS scandals, and the Justice Department's intrusion on the free press.

She also brought up how the media has been providing cover for this administration from day one. Maybe that's why most of what I've read about this whole umbrella story from the conservative media has been about how the President should have asked someone from the press to hold the umbrella since providing cover for the President is what they're good at.

BTW- On the same day that the Washington Post did their hit piece against conservative media that also explained why the Commander-in-Chief can break Marine Corps dress code protocol, The Blaze also did a story about how the Commander-in-Chief can break Marine Corps dress code protocol.

    http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/05/17/wa...

But The Blaze did it without turning the story into a conservative-bashing fest by taking jokes out of context and making more of this story than it is.

@Bobolinsky Sarah Palin is weak-minding and pandering by not calling scandals , cover-ups, intrusions exactly what they are. These things are all two or more government officials colluding and complicit in crimes against Americans. Conspiracies, nothing less.

I don't expect her to understand that or if she does, have the spine to tell America exactly what these smoky fires really are, much less what should be done about them in the name of justice.

@TheHandsomeOne-- What's weak-minded and pandering about her Facebook post?

I think you're suffering from Palin Derangement Syndrome. It's very common on the Left and among Libercontrarians.
  • #101
    !
@Bobolinsky Your thinking is faulty and I suggest you take time out to get up to speed on our nation's criminal laws, of which all in DC are subject.

If you cannot see that ALL in DC are guilty and impeachable on this very day, you are either dishonest or do not understand right from wrong.

Palin, like the media and all in DC, are pandering via their sugar-coating and unwillingness to tell it like it is. Maybe, like you, they don't know either. Hard for me to believe that no seeming majority exists that understands our most basic and foundational criminal laws.

The partisan paint won't work on me.
  • #106
    !
@TheHandsomeOne-- Really? Tell me then. What should the list of charges be?

I'm starting to think that the IRS officials are going to get off pretty lightly because the law doesn't have enough teeth. Something that Mike Turner and Marco Rubio are trying to fix.

"Rep. Mike Turner (R-Ohio) and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) introduced legislation this week that would give IRS employees who commit the so-called 10 deadly sins up to five years imprisonment.

"The sins include seizing property or assets without permission from higher-ups; harassing taxpayers; willfully hiding information from a congressional inquiry; and destroying documents to conceal IRS mistakes."

"The 1998 IRS overhaul — the last time the agency was significantly revamped — imposed consequences for engaging in such activities. But there was no threat of jail time and IRS bosses were given discretion to pardon employees, protecting them from being fired."
    Read more: http://www.politico.com/story/2013/05/5-fixes...

But you're of the opinion that there is a grand conspiracy that everyone in DC is involved in. You're sounding like one of those conspiracy theorists that gives the word "conspiracy" a bad name.

More example of how conservatives paint themselves into a corner where they cannot be taken seriously. You have to compare the nature of the allegations. Conservatives think Obama is every bit the worst president in US history as Liberals think Bush is. However the difference is in the nature of the alleged points and their validity. Where most of the criticisms against Obama have had to been manufactured, blown out of proportion or based on absolute delusional fantasy, most of the same types of criticisms of GWB were based on rational deduction and more often than not things that were proven to be factual.

In short, Conservatives hate Obama for little or no other reason than "Hes not MY guy" and will parrot any sort of malformed nonsense they hear against him, regardless of how good/bad he really is.

I wouldn't if it's during a speech -- hand gestures are part of the speech. OTOH, Reagan's picture with him having a human umbrella holder while he walks does look a little "peel me a grape," so I think it depends on the circumstances.

This is more than a "a minor screw up," as you put it, this is symbolic of Obama's and the liberal democrats loathing and low regard that they have for those serving their country in the military. Symbolism, like the use of words have meanings. The " Symbolism," of a marine relegated to serving like a inhuman object, spoke to Americans, especially to those families who have sons and daughters serving their country, to them, the picture spoke loud and clear.

    @ASISEEIT2

As I said in other posts, the Marines aren't there to be valets. I would have liked for the Marines refuse to serve in such a way. But to make a big deal out of this is petty.
