Pregnant TV actress Shannon Rogers Guess Richardson has been arrested and charged Friday with threatening the president in connection with the ricin-laced letters sent to Obama and NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, AP reports. She could face a 10-year prison sentence.
The FBI only began investigating Guess Richardson after she contacted them with a tip that her husband Nathaniel Richardson, a 33-year-old Army veteran, had sent the ricin-tainted letters.
"You will have to kill me and my family before you get my guns," the letter sent to Bloomberg read, according to NBC. "Anyone who wants to come to my house will get shot in the face. The right to bear arms is my constitutional God given right and I will exercise that right till the day I die."Another letter that tested positive for ricin was sent to the director of the group Mayors Against Illegal Guns, founded by Mayor Bloomberg, and was opened.
The actress hails from New Boston, Texas, and has had small parts in Walking Dead and The Vampire Diaries, according to E! Online.
