Conservatives are praising
celebrity Ashton Kutcher for a speech he gave at this year's Teen Choice Awards lauding humility and hard work - but also the value of "being sexy."
"I believe that opportunity looks a lot like work," said the "Jobs
" star to an audience of screaming young people. "I never had a job in my life that I was better than...and every job I had was a stepping stone to my next job, and I never quit my job until I had my next job."
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said the speech was evidence that Kutcher's "Iowa roots" were "shining through all that Hollywood glitter," and Rush Limbaugh praised the 35-year-old star's words for their "traditional, uplifting, motivational and inspirational" qualities.
"Good job, Ashton," added
Mike Huckabee, who gave Kutcher a "Huck's Hero salute."
Kutcher capped his speech off with this message: "The sexiest thing in the world is being really smart, and thoughtful, and generous...so find your opportunities, and always be sexy."
