Actress Eva Longoria is teaming up
with the First Lady to promote an activity that comes naturally to most: drinking water. But their
emphasis? Drink more of it, and ditch any added ingredients like corn syrup while you're at it.
Mrs. Obama and co. will be at a high school in Watertown, Wisconsin on Thursday as part of her "Let's Move!" anti-obesity tour
to encourage youth to substitute sodas and the like for pure, unadulterated water. And no, the town's name is no coincidence.
"They wanted to pick a town with 'water' in its name," stated
Watertown Mayor John David to regional press. "I think it's pretty exciting, and it should be a big event for our whole city."
In a press release, the White House had this to say about the push to get folks knocking back H20:
"This new effort will remind people that more water helps you have more energy and stamina so you can do more, longer and with better focus."
