As inane as the "ground zero mosque", President Obama's "birth certificate", Benghazi, and any number of other faux outrage / momentary interest "news". Nothing more than "talking points" for the simple minded.

@1971tennessee "I appreciate someone with a good argument.."
Put in context with the rest of your post, I want to thank you for starting my morning off with a smile on my face. I'm laughing at you not with you.

@1971tennessee Your pal Saddam Hussein fired two missiles into the USS Stark killing 37 american sailors. Where is your outrage?

@1971tennessee 49 people died in 16 different consulate attacks under Bush, and not one conservative expressed concern. The conservative outrage over Benghazi is fake and opportunistic at best!

It's stage one in discrediting Sen. Paul should he choose to run for President. Using Internet sources in the context of a speech is not plagiarism. Wikipedia is comprised of contributions submitted by individuals. Some of them are documented and others are not. This is quite a different matter than having the President of the United States repeatedly perjure himself to pass his signature legislation.

Wikipedia or not Rand is a snake oil salesman who watched his father make a nice living off blind faith supporters and he has jumped on the same gravy train.

Racheal Maddow pointed it out. Rand Paul is the one whining about it. He's making it bigger and more ridiculous. I have constantly wondered why the people in my state elected him. It makes no sense. He's done nothing for any of us.

@bleakoutlook I agree. I look into other channels as well but there are just some I refuse to even look at due to their lack of professionalism, lack of intelligence and lack of reporting news that is the truth.

Strawman argument. What one person does is his responsibility. When the article is about Biden is when to bring up the criticism.

I love it. They (the media and Dems) go after Rand Paul on this and yet we have a President that has serious issues with Fast and Furious, Benghazi and the Constitution and the Presidential powers in general and this issue is what the media is trying to focus us on?!?!?

They (the media and Dems) keep insulting the intelligence of the people of this country.

Pay attention people...stand up and clean house. Vote like your life depends on it as in fact it may.

ok, I will vote as if my life depended on it, seeing has how the Koch brothers are trying to buy the government and enforce all THEIR beliefs on Americans. And the ones that follow the Koch brothers whole heartedly are the extremist republicans.

As for your statement about Benghazi; what exactly are you referring to? You trying to say there is a cover up going on? If so, quit subscribing to Senator Issa"s brand of stupidity. It has been proven over and over 100% that there is NO cover up.

You like to throw out general statement, but have nothing to back up what you say. Please provide proof of what you say is true, or at least indicate what you are referring to.

@Enigma668 .....And what about the Soros idiots, he bought the election for Obama. So Obama could force his beliefs on everyone. I get it as long as your side is doing the buying , all`s good. Now you get a taste of your own medicine, hows it taste.

It's bullshit over nothing...yet the same people pushing this don't mind all the lies Obama has been saying in playing "snake oil salesman" with Obama Care? Meh...stupid Sheep!

As a constituent of Rand Paul, it shows me that Paul and his staff are quite lazy and ineffectual. At the very least, it should be a crime that this carpetbagger from Texas has done so little for the people he represents. This guy feeds his ego pulling filibuster stunts, but I haven't seen him as an author or a co-sponsor of any legislation in his three years in the Senate. He's an ass hat!

We all use quotes daily without giving credit to the actual author of the quote. Paul is no different than the rest of America. This is much ado about nothing.

This is all about distracting the sheep! Too many have been waking up....... Please, Rachel, our manliest of pundits, distract them!!! How can we fleece them if they realize (in the words of "Waterboy") that Obamacare "sucks, it really really sucks!"

First, its a line from a movie, which he could have gotten anywhere...it just happened to be Wikipedia. Second, its freaking WIKIPEDIA!!! This site is not a reliable source anyway. I can go in there and write, "Joe Biden is an idiot", if I wish to. He did nothing wrong.

He is also not crediting sources, or bothering to rewrite the information prior to using it, which doesn't begin to address the fact that Wikipedia is user generated content that often contains errors. I can understand why he wouldn't want to admit using it as a source. The scandal is less a matter of plagiarism, and more a matter that Paul would surround himself with lazy slackers who have questionable ethics.

Rand Paul should be expected to take any easy way short cut to extend his message. Sure, it's cheap and somewhat low brow. But, that helps promote his branding to his base. I think he should add contents to cereals, health supplements, map destinations on popular video games, and names of famous dictators (easily identified by the simple minded) to his speeches. That should help further his agenda even more.

How about the fact that entire pages of Rand Paul's book, "Government Bullies", are also plagiarized? Would THAT cross the line into copyright infringement?

This article argues that the Senator's behavior, tantamount to cheating and falling below the level of conduct expected of 6th graders...is no big deal as applied to a man with Presidential aspirations. Because it's not technically illegal!

I love an easy mark. Email me and we can discuss some coastal property I have in Florida; I can get you a really great loan on it.
